High above Perth, deep in the rugged bushland of the Perth Hills, I ventured out in search of hidden gold — hoping the creeks, gullies and ancient ground might reveal a few specks of Western Australian treasure 💰

But this trip quickly turned into something I never expected 😱

What started as a gold prospecting adventure became a battle against pouring rain, rising water, slippery terrain and brutal conditions as an extreme weather event rolled through the hills ⛈️

Hidden away from the usual tracks and trails is an abandoned quarry with a history that has us wondering… could there still be gold hiding here? 👀

So we packed the gear, headed deep into the bush and went exploring places most people would simply drive straight past. 🌿🥾

💰The mission: Find out if the creeks that once flowed in this now barren hole are hiding any traces of GOLD!

From exploring abandoned workings to checking the creek beds and putting dirt through the pan, this adventure quickly turns into a hunt for the smallest signs of treasure. 🔎🪙
