Meet Jade Briotti, SSS’s new HR & Recruitment Officer 👋

We’re pleased to welcome Jade to the SSS team.

Jade brings 15 years of HR and recruitment experience across the mining, resources, and offshore oil & gas industries. Her career has taken her from site-based HR roles throughout the Pilbara, before progressing into offshore recruitment, logistics, and senior crewing management roles.

She later spent more than six years with RFM Offshore, supporting Australian campaigns for clients including Noble, Diamond Offshore and Maersk, before moving into mining recruitment and ultimately joining SSS.

Jade’s key strengths lie in workforce training and compliance, clear communication, and building strong relationships with employees and stakeholders. For Jade, the most rewarding part of her work is making connections, getting to know people, and matching the right people with the right opportunities.

Jade was drawn to SSS by our strong focus on people and workplace culture, along with the opportunity to take on a new challenge in a specialised market.

Outside of work, Jade enjoys travelling, following the footy and spending time with her two dogs, George and Winx, who she admits she's completely obsessed with.

In her new role, Jade will focus on building a cohesive HR and recruitment strategy, growing our skilled workforce and helping to further strengthen the SSS culture as the business continues to grow.

We’re pleased to have completed our first shutdown consult at Talison Lithium’s Greenbushes mine, reviewing the Week 34 crusher outage.

Our Site Operations Manager, Luke Archer, and Site Superintendent, David Alcarria, worked closely with the Talison Lithium team to assess current shutdown planning and ex*****on, identify potential shortfalls, and work collaboratively with the site team to highlight opportunities for improvement.

Our time on site provided valuable insight into current processes, with a focus on:
• Identifying planning and ex*****on gaps
• Reviewing scope and readiness
• Improving coordination between stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities to improve ex*****on
• Developing practical improvements for future shutdowns

It was a great opportunity to work alongside the Talison Lithium team, share our experience, and contribute to continuous improvement.

We’re looking forward to building on this first site visit and supporting the team with future maintenance events.

We’re excited to announce the arrival of our first rotable cleaning unit at SSS!

This self-contained, high-pressure washer features an 800L tank, allowing our team to wash down rotables and chutes — even in difficult-to-reach locations.

It’s already been put to work at Iron Bridge, where it’s on a 12-month long-term hire supporting our MLO team to clean rotables throughout the shutdown and ensure they’re clean, compliant and ready for transport.

We’re looking forward to seeing the difference this new addition to our equipment fleet makes for our SSS team and clients, both now and into the future 🙌

We’re excited to welcome Elton Sekewa to SSS as our newest Work Management Specialist, joining us all the way from Papua New Guinea!

With more than 12 years’ experience across the oil & gas and mining industries, Elton has built an impressive career with leading organisations including ExxonMobil, Newmont, Ambatovy, and Santos.

His qualifications in Industrial Automation Engineering, IT Networking and Instrumentation Technology, combined with his hands-on operational experience, give him a strong technical foundation. He brings particular expertise in maintenance planning, shutdown ex*****on, and SAP work management systems.

Known for his strong organisational skills and collaborative approach, Elton enjoys bringing people and resources together to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

For Elton, the opportunity to move to Australia with his family, while joining an ambitious and growing company, made SSS an easy choice.

Looking ahead, he has his sights set on project management, with a long-term goal of leading major projects from engineering and planning through to construction and commissioning.

Our Material Logistics Operations (MLO) team has been hard at work supporting one of our Tier 1 clients' major July shutdown in the Pilbara.

Over the past month, our team has been providing end-to-end support across the pre-shutdown, shutdown, and post-shutdown phases, helping to keep this critical maintenance event running safely and efficiently.

With the main shutdown expected to wrap up around 2–3 August, our team will remain on site through to approximately 6 August to support the final stages of ex*****on and demobilisation.

A huge thank you to every member of the SSS MLO team for your hard work, commitment, and professionalism throughout this project. Your dedication to delivering the job safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard is what makes a difference on every shutdown.

The SSS team will soon be relocating to our new office in Burswood.

With a stylish modern fit-out, improved accessibility and close proximity to the airport, our new space has been designed to support our growing team, better connect with our customers and set us up for the next chapter of SSS.

🏉 We're proud to celebrate a special milestone for one of our sponsored football players, Harley Cummings, who is making his WAFL League debut this weekend for Swan Districts.

Swan Districts will take on Subiaco this Saturday in Round 12 of the WAFL Men's competition, with the League match kicking off at 2:30pm at Sullivan Logistics Stadium (Leederville Oval).

🌟 Meet Our New Site Superintendent – David 🌟

We’re pleased to introduce David Alcarria, who has recently stepped into the role of Site Superintendent at SSS.

With 19 years of experience across the oil & gas, mining, and construction industries, David brings a wealth of operational and leadership expertise to the position. His career began at just 17 as a boilermaker pipe fitter apprentice and has since evolved through a variety of operational and supervisory roles on major projects across Australia.

Throughout his career, David has contributed to some of Australia’s largest oil & gas construction projects, including offshore operations, before transitioning into mining and joining SSS as a Shutdown Ex*****on Specialist. Since then, he has progressed into senior ex*****on roles, playing a key part in the successful delivery of complex shutdowns and maintenance projects.

Bringing strong expertise in shutdown ex*****on, project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement, David is focused on supporting safe and successful project delivery, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to the continued growth of SSS.
