Our Sandfire MATSA Operations have donated a banded polymetallic sulphide sample from our Aguas Teñidas mine to the Riotinto Mining Museum in Huelva, Spain.
Now on display in the museum’s geology hall, the sample helps bring to life the mineral wealth of the Iberian Pyrite Belt and the important role metals like copper, zinc and lead continue to play in modern society.
It’s a small but meaningful way to support education, preserve mining heritage and strengthen understanding of the resources that power everyday life 🔋

We’ve officially opened our new Adelaide office, an important milestone in Sandfire’s growing presence in South Australia as we progress the Kalkaroo Copper-Gold Project.
Our expanding footprint supports significant investment in the region, including a A$100 million drilling program and pre-feasibility work at Kalkaroo, as well as a A$30 million investment in regional exploration in the Curnamona Province.
This next phase will strengthen our connections in South Australia and enable closer collaboration with government, stakeholders, Traditional Owners and local communities as our work advances.

At Sandfire, we believe our licence to operate will only be as strong and enduring as the positive and lasting impact we have in the local and regional communities in which we work, such as the Ghanzi district of Botswana, where our Motheo copper mine is located.
Our Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Brendan Harris, and Chief Operating Officer, Jason Grace, recently travelled to Botswana to meet with our team and senior government representatives, such as the Vice President and Minister of Finance, the Honourable Ndaba Nkosinathi Gaolathe, and Minister for Minerals and Energy, the Honourable Bogolo Joy Kenewendo.
We look forward to continuing to work with the Government of Botswana and supporting its economic empowerment aspirations that are designed to build stronger and more resilient communities.

A big congratulations to our Sandfire team members and their families who took part in the HBF Run for a Reason over the weekend.
HBF Run for a Reason is Perth’s largest annual fundraising event, giving West Australians the chance to run or walk 3km, 12km or a half marathon.
Not only has our team stepped up to this fitness challenge, but they’ve also had the opportunity to raise vital funds for local charities such as Royal Flying Doctor Service of WA, Cystic Fibrosis WA and Breast Cancer Research Centre WA, among many others.

At Sandfire, we recognise that strong communities are built through sustainable economic opportunity.
In partnership with the Ghanzi District Council, our Sandfire Motheo Operations supported the construction of 14 market stalls at Choppies Mall in Ghanzi, Botswana - creating space for local entrepreneurs to grow their businesses.
This initiative goes beyond infrastructure. It’s about meaningful investment in local entrepreneurship that is aimed at unlocking opportunity, strengthening small businesses, and driving sustainable economic development within the region.
It was a privilege to hand this over in April. Read the full story 🔗 http://bit.ly/4upIOpy
Sandfire has been a proud supporter of the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia and the lifesaving healthcare they provide across regional and remote Western Australia for over 10 years.
Each year, the RDFS delivers essential healthcare to more than 20,000 people across the state, responding to over 10,500 patient retrievals - that’s nearly 29 calls for help every day. On average, 10 people per week are retrieved by the RFDS WA from mine sites across Western Australia.
This Flying Doctor Day, we’re honoured to be a Matched Giving Partner again. From now until 14 May, we will match donations dollar-for-dollar to the RFDS WA - doubling the impact of every contribution.
If you can, please consider donating towards this worthy cause to support critical training for RFDS WA’s frontline and ground crews 🔗 https://www.flyingdoctorday.com.au

Today we released our March 2026 Quarter Report.
Our Total Recordable Injury Frequency (TRIF) increased slightly to 1.5 and we had our first ever fatality when a male contractor tragically lost his life in our MATSA operations in Spain on 25 February. We are deeply saddened by this loss and our thoughts remain his family friends and colleagues. Nothing is more important than ensuring our people and contractors go home safe and well, every day.
Our Group Copper Equivalent (CuEq) production for the quarter was 34.5kt for year to date CuEq production of 106.5kt and we remain on track to achieve Group CuEq production within the lower half of our guidance range of 149kt to 165kt in FY26.
We continued to generate strong underlying free cash flow to finish the March Quarter with a net cash balance of $76M, having paid A$46.5M to Havilah Resources on 10 February 2026.
We’re also gearing up for a significant drilling campaign in South Australia and progressing pre-feasibility work designed to unlock the Kalkaroo Copper-Gold Project.

“When we have diversity, we get different points of view which leads to greater innovation and better decisions.”
For Paz Curto, Financial Director at Sandfire MATSA, diverse perspectives drive innovation and enhance the way we interact with our surroundings. She also emphasised the ongoing need to collaborate and continue striving for greater equality, reinforcing that a more inclusive approach leads to better outcomes for everyone.
In recognition of IWD, the MATSA team demonstrated their commitment to diversity and inclusion by organising a photo exhibition showcasing women and the critical role they play in mining. The team also illuminated the office’s main building and the processing plant domes in purple.

Last week, Sandfire Motheo came together to mark International Women’s Day, reflecting on how we can create workplaces where women can thrive, lead, and grow.
The team hosted an IWD event with special guest speaker, Basadi Molelekeng, a commercial farmer who shared her story of overcoming gender-based barriers. Her message to attendees was - women shouldn’t just wish for opportunities and equality – they should claim them.
This was followed by a panel discussion, on practical steps for advancing equality and how we can all play a role in supporting women at work and in our communities.
Take a look at some of our team members’ perspectives on diversity, equity and inclusion, and how Motheo remains committed to fostering an inclusive culture that enables women to thrive.
