πŸ”¬πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™€οΈ STEM Girls Day Camp Success! πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™€οΈπŸ”¬

On Saturday, 13 June, we welcomed 30 enthusiastic Year 4 and 5 girls from our Ashdale Cluster primary schools for an exciting STEM Girls Day Camp filled with curiosity, teamwork, and problem-solving!

The day started with microscope observations and forensic science activities before an unexpected challenge arose – Miss Tull’s lolly jar had been stolen! 🍬

Working in teams, the girls analysed evidence, investigated suspects, and used their STEM skills to solve the mystery. We're pleased to report that every team successfully identified the culprit and returned the lolly jar to its rightful owner!

It was fantastic to see so much critical thinking, collaboration, perseverance, and scientific curiosity on display throughout the day. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the camp such a success.

The future of STEM is bright! πŸ’‘βœ¨

β™ŸοΈ Chess Club Success! β™ŸοΈ

Friday marked the third session of our Lunchtime Chess Club at Madeley Primary School. Ran and organised by Miss Richards, one of our Pre-Service Teachers - it has been a fantastic success!

It has been wonderful to see so many students excited to participate, challenge themselves and enjoy some friendly competition with peers. The room was filled with focus, teamwork, problem-solving and plenty of smiles!

We are so proud of the enthusiasm and positive sportsmanship shown by all students involved.

A big thank you to everyone who joined so far. We can’t wait to see Chess Club continue for its last session, this Friday, the 11th June!

⭐ A Special Visit to Madeley Primary School! ⭐

We were delighted to welcome WA Premier Roger Cook and our local Member for Landsdale, Daniel Pastorelli MLA, to Madeley Primary School last week as part of the Premier's visit to the Landsdale electorate.

It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the many things that make our school such a special place to learn and grow. During their visit, we shared our exciting plans for a future Wellbeing Centre, which we hope to establish on site by mid-2027, and highlighted our popular Ninja Playground, made possible through election commitments and the incredible support of our P&C.

Our visitors spent time in classrooms, chatting with students and learning about the great work happening every day at Madeley PS. Year 3 students shared their ideas for caring for our local environment, while Year 4 students impressed with their learning about local government and civic participation.

Premier Cook and Mr Pastorelli were also impressed by our sustainability garden, our beautiful school grounds, and our outstanding Early Childhood area. We were proud to discuss our Kindy program and the nurturing learning environment we provide for our youngest students.

One of the highlights of the visit was seeing our Year 6 students engage in conversation with the Premier β€” including one lucky student who had her broken-arm cast signed by Premier Cook!

Thank you to Premier Roger Cook and Daniel Pastorelli MLA for taking the time to visit our school. We are incredibly proud of our students, staff and community, who helped showcase the very best of Madeley Primary School.
