Christianity ... My Personal Blog and links to my articles. Initially this Page (2016) was established to inform people about the Worldwide Persecution of Christians.
Due to the many restrictions placed upon us (?) since 2018, I had to make the decision to 'cast my bread' all over the internet, rather than keeping things in one place. I now mainly share my articles on here, and I am very grateful to Facebook for allowing me to do this. For more information about me, please visit my Blogs. www.cherylmasonblogs.com

In the words of Jesus to Zacchaeus the Tax Collector (Luke 19:1-10), “Today salvation has come to this house.” The day you received Jesus Christ into your life and became a Christian, salvation entered your house, and you became the gateway by which the other members of your family could also be saved. May God Bless you in your mission to save your family!
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, you and your household.” Yes, or No? Acts 16:31 I was so blessed recently to have watched a video of a Pastor Thomas Niditauae from Vanuatu, in a Near Death Experience he believed the Lord gave him two warning. We should listen to this man. The …
When Paul mentioned, women should remain in silence according to ‘The Law,’ which Law was he referring to? Moses’s Law, Jewish Talmudic Law, Roman Law, Natural Law, which Law?
Scripture Reference: 1 Corinthians 14:34-37
Apostle Paul’s ‘Ethos’ for the First-Century Christian Woman: “As says the Law.” But which Law was he referring to? We see a typical example of the New Woman in Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, where a young man was caught in adultery with his father’s wife (1 Corinthians 5:1-5). According to Roman Scholars thi…
The world is getting ready to celebrate Christmas!
For Christians it is a time to acknowledge the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. For others it’s simply a time to kick up their heels and Party!
However, Christmas is not without its critics. Many people, even Christians now claim it is the pagan festival, Saturnalia, and that early Christians never celebrated the Nativity. I beg to differ and I found evidence that Christmas was celebrated much earlier than we first thought. I explain it in the article below ⬇️
Christmas today, is for families, it’s a time to get together, share a meal and exchange gifts. I personally think there's a lot more to benefit from having such a day than not having one.
Happy Christmas Everyone!
May Jesus Christ be at the centre of all your celebrations.
Christmas, Saturnalia and Sol Invictus – The Unconquerable Sun! Christmas falls on this Winter Solstice; there’s no disputing that. As a matter of fact, all ancient festivals fell either on an Equinox or the Solstices. Christmas is an ancient festival, nearly 2…
When I discovered The Didache some years ago, I was somewhat surprised to learn that the Early Church did not teach theology as such. Instead they focused on the everyday life of a Christian, how to pray, when to fast and how to walk the narrow path!
A popular teaching in the Early Church was The Two Ways Tradition. So, I decided to learn about The Two Ways Tradition and found it was steeped in ancient Jewish literature. This article of mine is a result of my study and it has been a blessing to thousands of people all over the world ever since.
In Ancient Hebrew sources I discovered there was an old man who sat at the crossroads. Two ways lay before him, one thorny and the other smooth.
Every day, the old man would warn passers-by. He told them that the thorny way, even though it appeared thorny at the beginning, later became smooth, and the smooth way, even though it appeared smooth at the beginning, later became thorny.
In the Gospels, Jesus recreated this setting, He also warned us about these two ways. The narrow way, He said, leads to a narrow gate, it is a difficult way and few people will choose to use it. On the other hand, the wide way, had a wide gate and it was relatively easy, so the majority of people would find this route more desirable.
Both the narrow and the wide ways have their own destinations.
Jesus gave this illustration, after one of His disciples asked him this question: “Will a lot of people receive salvation”? The answer was obviously, “NO”, not a lot of people will receive salvation. Although, this was of their own choosing, as both WAYS are available to all people.
The Two Ways Tradition Ancient Hebrew Sources, tell of an old man who sat, at the crossroads. Two ways lay before him, one thorny and the other smooth. Every day, the old man would warn passers-by. He told them that the …
In Part-Two of The Book of Jasher I discuss the life and times of Abraham. As with Part-One I compared versions of the Jasher texts with each other and then with the Bible. I also threw in a whole heap of other information as well. Jasher certainly had much to say about Abraham, his life, his loves, his enemies, and his wars. I do hope you enjoy reading this article as much as I did writing it 😊

There are several references in the Bible to other texts that were not included in the Canon of Scripture. These texts are often referred to as the Non-Canonical Books or the Lost Books of the Bible. One such text is the Book of Jasher. In the Bible, the Book of Jasher is cited in Joshua 10:12-13; 2 Samuel 1:18-27 and 2 Timothy 3:8 (as in Jannes and Jambres). In Hebrew, Jasher is referred to as the Sefer ha Yashar (Book of the Correct Record). In the LXX, Jasher is called the “Book of the Upright One.” And, in The Latin Vulgate, Jasher is called the “Book of the Just Ones.”

The Gospel of John in the New Testament is an ancient text which is full of detail about the life of Jesus Christ. It’s for this reason I decided to celebrate the Fourth Gospel by writing an article. In this article I will answer the many concerns that have plagued John’s Gospel. For example, when was it written and who wrote it? What evidence do we have that it was in circulation in the Early Church? I also discuss the perceived anti-Semitic undertones of John’s Gospel. And why I believe the author chose to use certain terminology. I will also include the opinion of the late Geza Vermes, a foremost Jewish Scholar and his take on whether he thought the New Testament was anti-Semitic. Hopefully, by the end of this article we can all gain a better understanding of this extraordinary rich text, from a time when the world was changed forever.
The Gospel of John: What did Jesus and others declare about his Messiahship & Is the Gospel of John anti-Semitic? In this article I will list others like John the Baptist, who bore ‘Witness’ to who Jesus Christ of Nazareth was. I will include the ‘Witness’ of Jesus himself and the Father. I will answer questions that have plagued John’s Gospel, questions such as who really wrote the text? I will also ...
In Part Two of this series on The Good Shepherd, I discuss more about Joseph and the term given to him in the Hebrew Scriptures as the Ro’eh et (The Shepherd). This is because Joseph inherently had the heart of a Shepherd, something that set him apart from his brothers. For that, his brothers threw him in the Pit and tried to kill him. Genesis Rabba expounds on Joseph’s ordeal a bit more than the Hebrew Scriptures does.
To better understand the ancient concept of Shepherding, I also make references to ancient shepherding contracts. Such as ones discovered in The Mari Documents, unearthed in the Tel Hariri desert. I also divided Shepherds into categories such as Owner/Operator, Family Business and Hired-Shepherd to better appreciate responsibility and accountability at every level.
Jesus referred to himself as The Good Shepherd, and stated he did not lose any of his Father's sheep, except one, so the scripture could be fulfilled. Jesus in turn left the responsibility for caring for his followers to his disciples and those that came after them. I likened those that labour in the Kingdom, God’s business as being like Hired-Shepherds. Which should conclude in Part Three with a better understanding of the function of Shepherds (Pastors) in the New Testament.

My latest series on The Good Shepherd - Part One.
This is a comprehensive teaching on the function of a Shepherd, which delves deep into the Ancient Near East concepts of Shepherding.
Part One is the coming together of two Shepherds, Jacob and Rachel. These two Shepherds produced the most beautiful Shepherd, Joseph. After a great deal of suffering and rejection, Joseph made a name for himself in Egypt. His Shepherding heart ultimately led to the deliverance of his people.

The Documentary Hypothesis states that J Source wrote Genesis chapter one and E Source wrote chapter two. It’s hard to read the two chapters’ side by side and fail to see there may be some truth to this argument. I’m sure there are those who will not agree, but be patient, if at the end of reading this you still believe there was just one author (Moses), that’s fine. If nothing else, you will understand the opposing point of view.
Genesis Ch. 1 and 2: An Exegesis In The Beginning: An Exegesis of Genesis Ch.1 and 2. Do all Christians believe the earth is 6000 years old? Why does Genesis Ch.1 use Elohim and Ch.2 YHWH Elohim? What is the Documentary Hypothesis…

Zechariah Chapter 14 & Revelation Chapters 19─20: A Comparison. "Also confirming Messianic expectations, Zechariah mentions the Feast of Tabernacles, there is no mention of The Feasts of Tabernacles in Revelation or no rain for those who do not attend the annual event. Paramount to Messianic expectations is the Temple and the return to the Sacrifice. In Revelati...

This is Part Two of my series on The Letter ‘J’ and the Name Jesus. I have included some extra information about The Masoretic Texts and some of the issues relating to them. I have also covered the name of YHVH and mentioned various aspects of the ineffable Name. Please feel free to comment on the Blog post. Thanks.
The Letter ‘J’ and the name Jesus: Part Two. There were two main groups adding vocalization and meaning to the Masoretic Text. The two groups, Western and Eastern interpreted the text differently. They represented two families, the Ben Asher family, and the Ben Naphtali family. We know from the Talmud that Rabbis were also involved in the Maso...

Pastor Nadarkhani is the pastor of a 400-member house church in Iran. The Iranian government has separated him from his family and imprisoned him multiple times throughout the last decade. He currently is imprisoned in Evin Prison, serving a 10-year prison sentence that began two years ago. Those who are imprisoned for their faith routinely face torture in Evin Prison.
With the pandemic of COVID-19 sweeping through Iran’s prison system, Iran’s judiciary has furloughed 85,000 prisoners serving less than five-year sentences who tested negative for the coronavirus in an attempt to control the disease’s spread. Prisoners with more than a five-year sentence, including Pastor Nadarkhani, were excluded from temporary release and left to suffer the risks of this disease without access to adequate medical care.
As Pastor Nadarkhani and his family navigate these difficult times, we ask that you please join us in showing them your support. By signing this petition, you have the chance to show the American and Iranian governments that the Nadarkhani family matters, that they are remembered, and that they deserve basic human rights. You are also letting the Iranian government know that the world is watching.

Hello, it’s with great sadness that I write this:
Due to recent changes on Facebook I am unable to ‘boost’ any links from other Pages, share stories, share any YouTube videos, even my own, or share testimonies. Without ‘boosting’ nobody gets to see anything I post, despite having over 50,000 people who apparently do want to see what I post.
I find the restriction of posting my own videos on my own Blog which I’m prepared to pay for a little ridiculous to say the least. The demigods of Facebook have sealed my fate, I can’t even share posts between my own Pages at the moment.
So, where do we go from here? I’m not sure. This is a total shut down of my Blog, which brought you stories and articles of Christian persecution from around the world.
Despite the bans I can still share articles I write, for now at least, that’s what I’ll try and do, please read them. I can also post memes. I’m a little peeved right now, that this is happening to me. But it’s my opinion that the Christian voice will gradually be shut-down on the Internet, as we are seeing with Google, YouTube, Amazon, Wikipedia and now Facebook.
I was always under the impression Facebook would remain impartial and allow everybody to have a voice. This is not the case as the voice of the persecuted, Christian martyr is being shut down for good.
Yes, He does.
Ezekiel was both a WATCHER and a WARNER.
Ezekiel 3:18-21 Warn the wicked to repent and turn to God, otherwise their blood is on your hands. If they choose not to accept your warning then you are not responsible for them.
Ezekiel 18: 20 The soul who sins shall die. If a backslider dies in their sins they will go to hell. We need to warn all backsliders to turn back to God.
James 5:20 Says if we turn a sinner from their sins we cover a multitude of our own sins.
1 Peter 4:8 Says that love covers a multitude of sins. If we love people we will care about their souls and warn them to repent.
I encourage you today to share the Gospel with the lost and the backslider.
