From the dirt roads of Ramingining to the Commonwealth Games podium in Glasgow. What a journey. π₯Ήπ₯
At just 18, Briseis Brittain has claimed bronze in the Womenβs 200m T38 Final, finishing in 27.66 on her Commonwealth Games debut.
A proud Gunalbingu and Njebbana woman from East Arnhem Land, Briseis first found her love of running on the dirt roads of her community. Last year, she became the first woman from Arnhem Land to compete at the World Para Athletics Championships. Now, she is a Commonwealth Games medallist.
Inspired by Cathy Freeman, Briseis says, βWhen I run, I feel free, and I have fun.β From Ramingining to Glasgow, she is showing young athletes from remote communities just how far their dreams can take them. ππ
What a proud moment for Briseis, her family, coach Roger Chin, the Northern Territory and Australia.

What an incredible moment for Australian sport π₯ππ
At 76, Louise Hoskins has made history as the oldest Commonwealth Games gold medallist.
Together with Serena Bonnell, she claimed gold in the Womenβs Para Pairs B6βB8 after a remarkable comeback against New Zealand.
Louise was also the oldest competitor at the Glasgow Games, but age certainly did not slow her down.
βI never thought Iβd ever get a gold medal at my age. Get out there and have a go, and never give up.β
A beautiful reminder that it is never too late to chase a dream, back yourself and make history.

Scammers are getting smarter.
They take advantage of new technology, new products or services and major events to create believable stories that will convince you to give them your money or personal information.
