Create a stunning large-scale textured artwork inspired by the beauty of water, stone, sand, ocean landscapes, and contemporary gallery interiors.

During this immersive workshop, students will explore professional mixed media techniques to create rich textures, soft transitions, movement, atmosphere, and a beautiful sense of depth within the artwork.

You will work with layered materials to recreate shoreline textures, water reflections, mineral surfaces, and organic coastal forms.

4! different textures. 3! different types of paint — including one magical medium and oil paint. 7! different brushes, different application techniques, layering, glazing, composition, values, contrast, brightness, diversity of texture and form… and an incredible amount of work.

10! hours altogether spent on this project — and the result exceeded all expectations.
