Appeal for Support – Rajan Shrestha (Bhasa Pathshala Recreation Club)

Namaste everyone,

On behalf of the Western Australian Nepali Football Association (WANFA), we would like to express our concern and extend our support to Mr. Rajan Shrestha of Bhasa Pathshala Recreation Club (BPRC), who sustained a serious injury during the third-place match during Harmony Cup 2026.

Rajan has suffered a torn ACL and, following medical advice, will require surgery along with an extended recovery period of approximately six months. This unfortunate incident has placed both physical and financial strain on him and his family.

In light of this, WANFA, together with BPRC, humbly appeals to the wider Nepalese community and football fraternity to come forward and support Rajan during this difficult time. Your contribution — whether financial or by sharing this message — will greatly assist in covering his medical expenses and supporting his recovery.

Any support, regardless of the amount, will be deeply appreciated.

Thank you for your kindness and continued support.

With sincere appreciation,

WANFA made their views and advices NRNA on Harmony cup according to the laws of football of FIFA.

NRNA requested WANFA to help and support to organise football in NRNA Harmony cup.

WANFA executive members who where there to set up goal post to present during all games and to close up after games to remove goal post net and pack up chairs and rubbish from ground as well.

All were doing volunteer, Do you reckon that they need to get physically and verbally abused, even after doing volunteer for Nepali football community.

We have some clubs who support violence and mention that It’s okay to say in field that players and club supporter can threaten to break leg of other players.

We don’t want those clubs and players in Nepali community who don’t have duty of care to other players.

Violence against organiser who were volunteering on that day is unacceptable.
No one has rights to physical and verbally abuse volunteer on field.

This was our offical decision towards the game from WANFA.

This email has been sent to NRNA WA Coordinator.

Dear NRN WA Coordinator,

Please find WANFA decision on the incident happen on 15/03/2026.
