IMMEASURABLE DARKNESS returns to Brisbane - coalescing Australia's most unique and disquieting metal into an evening to provoke abhorrence, melancholy and despair.

Spewed from the black bowels of Sydney's abyss in 2003, PESTILENTIAL SHADOWS continue their dark conjuration after 20 years. Their latest invocation, 'Revenant' has laid its dead storm unto ruin, opening the gate to a new line-up and fresh new beginnings. The darkness is reinforced by Perth black death filth EARTH ROT who return for an overdue sojourn. Their latest release, Black Tides of Obscurity - delivered through Seasons of Mist - is an unrelenting assault of darkness and black metal fury. Amplifying the evening's sorrow, ILLIMITABLE DOLOR perform their Funeral Doom hymns for the first time in Brisbane. Their performance melds moments of harmonic tranquility with crushing slabs of death metal and doom.

Supported by a legion of local tyrants, including purveyors of black metal rot GRAVEIR, MALIGNANT AURA bringing their sorrowful melodies and lumbering death metal, devastators FORNICATADOR releasing their latest war metal assault, and GROTESQUE BLISS spreading oppressive, macerating death doom.

You've seen big artists explaining how expensive touring is in 2022. For us to get 2 members across the country for one show has slugged us $4000.

What was once $1000-$1500 in flights is now $4000 to play a show in a city half of us live in. It is what it is but it definitely makes things tough.

It'd be an absolute record if we could manage that in merch at Bendigo Hotel tomorrow night but every bit helps!

Today is 2 years since we released Black Tides of Obscurity with our label Season of Mist. We were fortunate enough to get 4 shows in around Australia before everything closed up shop and touring became impossible.

While we used to be constantly performing, writing, rehearsing and always creating, we've been split 3400km apart and haven't seen each other since the release of this album and that has definitely slowed things down. On a positive note, we've been writing again (slowly) and accumulating tracks for the next release!

Hopefully soon we can get together on the same side of the country and turn all these ideas into a huge follow up album but in the mean time, you can support us moving forward by heading to our Bandcamp or listening to BTOO on Spotify.

Cannot wait to be able to riff your sideburns off or tear my hamstring doing high kicks on stage again.
