Recently wrapped up a Cinema room lighting upgrade where the client had a tight budget and the existing structure needed to stay exactly as it was.

Rather than ripping everything out, we retrofitted new stair lighting into the existing steps. We custom designed mounting plates and had them made up by a local metal fabricator, then fixed LED strip housings in place to hold the lighting neatly to finish it off properly. We also tracked down transformers small enough to retrofit into the existing space without any structural changes.

To finish the job off, all the old ceiling halogen lights were replaced with black trim LED downlights, all installed on dimmers to give the room proper control and atmosphere.

A good example of how you can still get a clean, modern result without overcomplicating things or blowing the budget.

Fresh Ink 🎨 thank you Central Signs for the sterling job 👏

Solved Electrical has been just east of Karajini National Park for the last week getting this large stacker back into service for a large mining company.

The machine was in pretty rough shape and unsafe to use with the mains cable running through the middle of it unprotected, almost down to bare conductors in places!

Picking up from another company’s work that was deemed unsatisfactory, we mechanically protected it all the way from control panel to transformer connection. A fair list of other upgrades we carried out including arc flash protective perspex on the panel.

After a couple of days of testing, commissioning and meetings with the electrical superintendent, she’s all good to get back into operations and we can catch the next one home. ✅✈️

This one looks a very simple and an easy job at first glance, a meter of LED strip capped with a tucked away switch.

After a little digging, we come to realise that this heritage listed home’s cooking range was an ambient brick chimney.

Drilling with a meter long masonry bit at a precise angle, we were able to conceal all cabling into the roof space safely via a cavity that was separate to the smoke and steam path.

This has left a client that was told by several Sparky’s they couldn’t put a light there very happy and with a more modern lit cooking area.

Little job’s like these are what inspired this company’s name 😃
