My chat on Seriously with the gorgeous Annaliese Gann
We went on holiday not truly understanding how much we needed it until we were here.
It’s been worth every bit of saving, planning and chaos with the kiddos.
They needed, we needed in to reconnect and I needed it.
And now there are 2 days left for us in beautiful Bali…
How they days have gone so wonderfully slow and fast at the same time.
What I do know is that we will be prioritising more travelling with and without the kids moving forward - it’s something that we both have always enjoyed but put in the too hard basket.
But whats harder is regret. So we have decided to start ticking off things that bring us more joy.
Also I love photos and reading stories - so more posts and writing again for me.
Also yes I realise not all my stories have been in order of days but hey I’ve uploaded when I feel free or later and the rest is all about being present in the moment and making memories.
Some things a camera will never capture, they are too special as they are in the moment.
Also shoutout to Oatesy for bailing this shot! Who even are you? Haha

Who’s been in a change room and cried?
Or felt like crap when you have tried on old clothes and realize they no longer fit?
Me too.
More times than I'd like to admit.
I get it, it can feel pretty damn crappy sometimes.
Over the years I have been in a change room with WAY too many women of all ages upset or crying over not fitting into a certain size or a particular style.
Sizing up or not fitting in your old
clothes isn't anything to be ashamed of.
You haven’t failed your body in any way for growth.
It's life.
Our size doesn't not determine our beauty, worth or how we should be respected.
There are seasons of
growth, gain, loss and change
because bodies do change
throughout life for SO many reasons!
Some not even within our control.
I know it doesn't always feel good, I completely understand all too well.
But squeezing into things rather
than seeing a different size on a
label - it's like saying we don't
deserve to feel comfortable.
I don't want to teach myself that! I deserve to feel comfortable.
And don’t get me started on inconsistent sizing where you can walk into one store as a 12 and another as an 18.... and brands with no size inclusivity… WELL that’s a topic for another day.
Im not giving my power to a number, a size to determines how I should feel about my body or see in a negative way.
Losing weight and fitting into smaller clothes doesn’t equal happiness, success or mean you are more worthy.
You need to know you are worthy of all those things and more now just as you are.
Sizing up is about showing our bodies
respect as it is now -
as it is today.
respecting it NOW.
Not just for what it "might" be someday.
Life is too short for that sh*t.
So what, maybe one day you will fit
back into those pants... or maybe
you won't.
Either way we are still amazing.
Still smart, important, loved, beautiful.
Because you are still you.
worthy yesterday, today and always
life happens. bodies change.
