Well, itโ€™s a many-folded endeavour, which is supported by good physical health; positive relationships; a sense of meaning in our lives; having a purpose and well-defined goals; a few hobbies or activities that make us forget time and place; a sense of connection to the world and others; being able to achieve in areas that matter to us.

Alongside, we crucially need to find ways to experience joy, peace, and hope within our hearts.
But how do you do this? You start somewhere. You look at this list above and decide to do something toward one of these supporting ingredients toward a happy and fulfilling life. Three things we have learnt through the pandemic so far:
๐ŸŒฟ Appreciating the outdoors, the fresh air, parks, forests, rivers and beaches, and the ability to sit in nature and have the sun warm us and the trees cool provide cool shelter.
๐ŸŒฟ The company of the people who matter in our lives. The support of our loved ones, our true friends, and how much we like to just hang out with the special people in our lives.
๐ŸŒฟ Our resilience and ability to stay strong in challenging times, to do our best to get on with life despite the frustrations and difficulties; something we tend to underestimate.

In positive psychology, a flow state (being in the zone), is the mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. In essence, flow is characterized by the complete absorption in what one does, and a resulting transformation in one's sense of time

Flow state can be experienced in almost any activity that has clearly defined goals and a balance between the difficulty of the challenge and the skills of the individual.

While certain activities are likely to encourage a flow state, such as games, sports, and the arts, you can also experience flow within the workplace and other day-to-day activities.

Notice the Good Things in Your Life
Start to notice and identify the things you are grateful for. Tune in to the small everyday details of your life and notice the good things you might sometimes take for granted.

These 3 steps can help you start feeling more grateful, and appreciative of the good things in your life: Notice good things, look for them, appreciate them. Savor, absorb, and really pay attention to those good things. Express your gratitude to yourself, write it down, or thank someone.

In our society much emphasis is placed on our individual wishes, development, and journey. This is not wrong as such, but it misses one crucial point: we are all affected by the people and environment around us.

Witnessing an industrial wasteland, a desperate homeless person, a mean or neglectful parent, all this affects us.

Current discussions in positive psychology acknowledge that the scientific investigation of well-being has not focused sufficiently on the conditions that enable well-being. Nobody gets to really live in a bubble.

Where does that leave us? With the task of accepting that our journey is not only about our wishes and development, but also an opportunity to improve the conditions that enable well-being for others.

What is it that we can do today to make our environment a little friendlier, kinder, and beautiful?

For some it is the love they share with their families, for others it is the encounter with nature, some find it when they are absorbed in mastering a challenge, and for some it is prayer or meditation. There is an unprecedented sense of uncertainty now. In the past, we could freely plan towards our goals and dreams. Now even the smallest event might potentially be jeopardised.

๐™ƒ๐™ค๐™ฌ ๐™™๐™ค ๐™ฌ๐™š ๐™—๐™š๐™จ๐™ฉ ๐™ก๐™ž๐™ซ๐™š ๐™ฌ๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ ๐™ช๐™ฃ๐™˜๐™š๐™ง๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™ฎ?
Know your heart.
Make regular time to listen to your inner self.
Meditation or mindfulness exercises are a good way to prepare yourself for this. Repeatedly during the day, breathe deeply and bring yourself to the present moment.
Then listen to what your heart is telling you.
When you know how to listen to your heart you will find a certainty that worldly circumstances cannot take away.

From a place of love and support we want to share some tips on how we can respond to the coronavirus situation in a way that will help preserve our psychological wellbeing. The following approaches can help.

๐˜ˆ๐˜ค๐˜ค๐˜ฆ๐˜ฑ๐˜ต ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜จ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ท๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฐ๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ด โœจ donโ€™t push them away, itโ€™s important to feel them because research has shown that avoidance of such emotions will only make them stronger and longer-lasting. Notice negative emotions, thoughts and physical sensations as they come up, look into them with curiosity, describe them without judgment and then let them go. This is an essence of mindfulness, which has been consistently linked to good psychological health.

๐˜Š๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ธ ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด โœจ Although many people escape from reality by Netflix-binging, cookie-indulging or marathon Fortnite-playing, be mindful of over-relying on these distraction strategies. โ€œItโ€™s good for adults and crucial for children to stick to regular wake-up, grooming and meal times. Where and how everyone works and plays at home should also be planned, while understanding that we all need to be flexible and adapt as needed,โ€ said Deborah Roth Ledley, a clinical psychologist in Philadelphia. Find a routine that works for you and your family, adjust as needed.

๐˜™๐˜ฆ๐˜ง๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ค๐˜ต, ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ฆ ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ง๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ โœจ It might help to realize that these trying times offer several avenues for psychological growth. Even during social distancing, there is an opportunity to deepen our relationships with the people in our household and beyond. Join a positive online community such as an online book club , sit down with you partner and really embrace and enjoy their company, do a puzzle with the family or whatever works for you. We believe itโ€™s really about appreciating the simple things.

Even during social distancing, there is an opportunity to deepen our relationships with the people in our household and beyond. Join a positive online community such as an online book club , sit down with you partner and really embrace and enjoy their company, do a puzzle with the family or whatever works for you. We believe itโ€™s really about appreciating the simple things.
