Little life update; I’m taking a moment to appreciate the whirlwind I’ve been on this year. Lots of positive big changes, making cool stuff, laughs, love, music and getting my toes bitten by the cat.
There’s been a lot of “coming full-circle” moments recently that I think have landed me in finding my home in many ways. It continues to be a wild ride, but I love it.
As I’m working hard and settling into a few new environments, I can’t wait to take time to share what I’ve been up to, look back on my past a bit, and create some cool new art, just for the joy of art and creating, when I can. Not far away I am certain ✍️

I have literally just sent the first pass of the COMPLETED V1.0 Design Bible PDF for Alice: Asylum off for final review and approval to American. Some final alts and tweaks might be required, but from what I can see, we’re looking solid.
I’ve spent a lot of time recently reviewing, proofreading, tweaking, bookmarking and getting this thing ready to go, and I think we’re ALMOST there.
I’m immediately diving into the Design Bible launch and marketing material next up for the Patreon. ✌️
I believe the work our team has done over the years is truly beautiful, and I’m so proud to be a part of it alongside them.
I hope my work has helped to capture and present the art, story and game design concepts that Alice 3 deserves.

The devil is in the details ✍️🖤☠️ Capping off 2020 with a drawing for FUN 🥳 It’s been a while! (It’s probably my only drawing not tied to a project this year 😂)
Is it worth me finishing it off and making time to fully render and colour it? Doubtful I’ll have the time any time soon, but I want to know how you feel about seeing this guy through. Sound off in the comments ✌️
Staring down the barrel of the start of 2021, I’m going in headfirst with a serious workload.
Getting in a day early with a year in review; it’s been a big ‘un, both professionally and personally. I’m so thankful for the support of my friends, family and colleagues this year. If you’re still by my side, you guys made all the difference this year. Massive shout-out to American + the incredible Alice: Asylum team, and the truly wonderful Patrons and fans. You gave me the opportunity to really follow my dreams this year, and I couldn’t be more grateful 🙏

2020, what a year ☠️ To commemorate the whack year that was, (and also to celebrate the third year of the Patreon) and I worked on a YES/NO decision coin together.
One of my favourite creative experiences is working to shape these ideas, and curate them into a tangible reality for his fans. Death rabbits and skulls? On a cool coin? Yes please.
Coins will be sent off for prototype and manufacture soon. Got a weighty decision to make? Give it a flip 🤟 Coins likely available through both the Patreon and Mysterious early 2021.
I’m a big fan of the design, it’s been a while since I’ve drawn like this. I’m so thankful to be able to put my creative efforts into something I’m proud of, and something that will hopefully spread some joy for the fans who give us so much back in return. We couldn’t do what we do without you, so thank you 🙏

🎪💣🃏💀 Toying around with refining some Jackbomb weapon concepts for Alice: Asylum. Whatchu reckon?
We had an amazing original concept from Joey, which I’ve edited and built on here. Awesome to have a bit of overlap with the rest of the team.
As the Asylum story becomes concrete, some design decisions are being made to try and tie each piece into the narrative a little neater. Alice gets this explosive bad-boy from defeating the tweedle bro’s, so I had a go at bringing the weapon into that line. First pass was wayyy too dark, V2 more on point. Still some tweaks to go, but it’s getting there. Happy with working the Tweedle Bro fades into the silver pattern work on the box too (last image) 🎪
I also floated the idea of secondary firing modes and unlockable aesthetic skins for each weapon. Both pretty commonplace, but has been received well. I’m all for variance on play style, and allowing some customisation for the player.
The te****le trap version is an early exploration of a secondary firing mode 🐙 lots of great feedback from the livestream and the Patreon on these concepts. I’m expecting a final pass ready in the next few days. Stay tuned, much more arsenal ideation work coming up 🤟

🤞 Everybody cross your fingers.
The Alice: Asylum team have been working super hard to get all the pieces together for a pitch presentation focussed on: 🟢 Oz, 🦋 Alice and 🔥 our team. The end goal is to secure financing from someone who has the power to make it happen. covered a lot of this on the last live stream.
I’ve been designing and writing my butt off to try and get the information and artwork framed in a document that sells us, and showcases the games we want to make.
Here’s a few cropped snippets, but the final doc we’re sending weighs in at 26 pages. I’m proud of this one, it came together well. And the art in there is beautifully nuts. Joey and Adam slayed the artwork throughout, and pulled the new artwork together super quickly.
