We have first & second year positions with our client who is premier construction, fitout & maintenance company with projects across all area’s of Perth. They are a large commercial company booming with work and continuing to grow, are highly dedicated to delivering high quality/incident free projects and to the development of a skilled workforce of tomorrow while maintaining a supportive and positive company culture and working environment for their employees. If successful some of the things you will learn/do are:
Carry out measurements and calculations
Handle and store painting and decorating materials
Prepare existing coated surface for painting
Apply paint and texture coat paint by brush, roller and spray
Match specific paint colours
Apply stains and clear timber finishes
Apply protective paint coating systems
Work safely with lead-painted surfaces
Prepare uncoated surfaces for painting
Apply advanced decorative paint finishes
Apply trowelled texture coat finishes
Working with scaffolding safely at heights
Workplace health and safety

To be successful you will need to:
Be Australian citizen or permanent resident
Have your White Card
Have your drivers licence and own your own vehicle
Be ok working at height/on a scaffold
Be prepared to work on different job sites all over Perth – Both North & South of the river.
Be punctual/show good attendance
Follow instructions
Show a good work ethic

Wheatbelt Wonder 🌾

Nestled in WA’s Wheatbelt region, we built this small but perfectly formed 2x1 home (with two home office spaces) for our client.

After living in a “tin shed” for over 12 years, they decided it was time to upgrade and build a new abode featuring all the modern creature comforts.

Despite its simple appearance, it’s been thoughtfully designed and built in line with Passive House principles – ensuring maximum comfort all year round, as well as providing plenty of places (inside and out!) to sit and enjoy that beautiful outlook 🤩

Using the material was a first for a lot of the ancillary trades on site but Andy and Ian guided them through the process and kept the build on track.

They helped us during the planning phase and we worked well together in a fluid process during the build to overcome obstacles and changes.

Renovations are never straight forward as a clean build but with the combined skilled set and experience of the team and contacts in the trade used on multiple occasions it worked very well.

Our client could see the potential in this tired and dark 4x2 …and what a transformation 🤩

We helped turn their house in to the ultimate family abode!

As well as fully renovating every room inside (including bathrooms, kitchen and laundry), we also remodelled the front entrance (including roof line) and added a double garage and a one bedroom granny flat – maximising every inch of space!

The entire renovation was completed in record time too 🙌

The brief…

Create a natural flow between the garden/alfresco and the lounge/dining area and replace balcony.

What we did…

• Introduced large bi-fold doors with a fly screen cut in to the tuck-pointed brickwork
• Original brickwork wall reengineered. Large lintels and steel posts installed – hidden in the reinstated brickwork and tuck-pointing – giving appearance it had always looked this way
• Balcony removed and replaced. Original floor tiles sourced to ensure original aesthetics and period features of the house retained
