The eSafety Commissioner has warned of the growing risks associated with AI-generated deepfakes and image-based abuse, while encouraging organisations to take a Safety by Design approach that focuses on preventing harm before it occurs.

At the beginning of 2026, St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls reviewed its public social media strategy and moved away from publishing clearly identifiable, front-facing images of its girls. The strategy reflects a broader commitment to child safety, privacy, digital citizenship and the long-term digital footprints schools create on behalf of children.

In this webinar, Kellie Hasluck, Director of Advancement & Growth and Hope Barr, Head of Marketing and Communications, will share what prompted the decision, the School’s approach, feedback from the community, the challenges encountered, the impact on workflow and practical ways to create engaging, non-identifiable imagery.
