Western Australians with disability have a crucial opportunity to engage directly with policymakers ahead of the upcoming federal election.
The Disability Election Forum is a collaborative event hosted by People With Disabilities WA (PWdWA), Youth Disability Advocacy Network (YDAN), National Disability Services (NDS), and Developmental Disability WA (DDWA). It's designed to address key issues affecting the disability community, including:
– Employment: Changes to the Disability Employment Services (DES) program
– Housing & Homelessness: Challenges, solutions, and accessible housing policy
– Transformations: NDIS reforms, Disability Royal Commission findings, foundational supports, and the Disability & Autism Roadmaps
