People often ask who inspired the designer I am today.

The truth is, I carry pieces of both my mum and my dad. They have both shaped who I am in different ways, and I wouldn't be where I am without their love, strength, and guidance.

But when it comes to my creativity, that comes from my mumma.
Growing up, I was surrounded by my mum, her sisters, and family who shared our culture, stories, creativity, and knowledge with me. Through them, I learned the value of storytelling, connection, and creating with purpose.

As Indigenous people we may not always be rich in material things, but we are rich in culture, community, and the wisdom passed down through generations.
The way I create, the way I see colour, texture, and storytelling through fashion has been deeply influenced by the women who raised me. Every piece I make carries a little piece of them and the knowledge they entrusted me with.
Today, I honour both my parents for the people they helped shape me into, and especially my mumma, whose creativity inspired the designer I have become. 🖤
