Established in 2000, Taurus Productions specialises in content and communications. Communication is an art; the life-blood of human connection.

Communication encourages feedback and can generate a desire to learn more. Finding the best way to communicate your important visual message needs to be done with careful consideration, experience and with the industry know-how to deliver the right tone, on the right platform that will work best for your audience.

The strongest event content doesn’t happen by accident, it comes from collaboration long before cameras arrive.
Over the years, I’ve seen the difference it makes when content is considered early in the planning process, not simply added on at the end.
Every platform speaks a different language.
Every audience responds differently.
And every brand has its own tone, energy and purpose.
The way content is captured for LinkedIn should feel very different to Instagram. Internal communications require a different approach again. Timing matters. Messaging matters. Even the way moments are filmed or interviewed can completely change how an audience connects with the story.
The most successful projects are always partnerships; working closely with teams to understand the bigger picture, the audience, the intention behind the event or initiative, and how content can continue working well beyond the day itself.
Whether it’s a corporate milestone, conference, campaign launch, community initiative or leadership event, thoughtful content planning creates far more meaningful outcomes than simply documenting what happened.
That collaborative process is something we genuinely value at Ta**us Productions.

“Oysters”… one of the many film industry terms that makes absolutely no sense to anyone outside production. 🎥☀️🦪

For those playing along at home, it means using natural light instead of artificial lighting setups. Simple, beautiful… and slightly confusing when actual oysters are involved.

The production world is full of strange little idioms and crew slang that somehow became universally accepted language.

Your brand voice is becoming more valuable than your content volume.
Currently rebuilding our website, and I’ve realised the real challenge isn’t producing more content, it’s communicating more clearly and authentically.
Technology can sharpen strategy, speed up production and refine messaging.
But the heart of a brand still comes from instinct, relationships, storytelling and emotional intelligence.
The brands that stand out won’t be the loudest.
They’ll be the ones that still sound human and understand human connection.

Seems about right!

International Women’s Day isn’t just about celebrating women’s achievements.

It’s a moment to pause and ask: what still needs to change?

Progress doesn’t come from women competing with men. It comes from growth, courage, and the willingness to evolve; personally and collectively. Our differences are not weaknesses. They are strengths that complement each other.

Strong leadership isn’t the loudest voice in the room. It’s clarity. Discernment. Integrity. Listening more. Speaking with purpose. Using influence responsibly.

No country has yet achieved full legal equality for women and girls. Laws still fall short; from protection against gender-based violence to equal pay. leaving millions exposed to discrimination and harm.

As a single mother who raised two children while building a career, and through my voluntary role as Chief of Communications for the United Nations Association of Australia (WA Division), I’ve seen how important it is that men and women continue these conversations, not just globally, but in our own communities.

The facts are sobering: in many countries, r**e laws are still not defined by consent. Child marriage is still legal. Pay inequality persists.

Balancing power isn’t just a slogan. It’s practical. When women sit at every table; law, business, science, diplomacy, peace negotiations; decisions improve, societies strengthen, and opportunity expands for everyone.

International Women’s Day isn’t about dividing men and women. It’s about partnership. When men stand beside women to challenge violence, coercion, and inequality, real change becomes possible.

The goal isn’t power over others. It’s balance.

A world where women and men lead together with respect, courage, and fairness, is stronger than one where half the voices are unheard.

As Ruth Bader Ginsburg said: “Women belong in all places where decisions are being made.”

And when they are, everyone benefits.

Back at Ronald McDonald House Charities today.

It’s been many years since my time on the Executive Marketing Committee- amazing how fast that goes. Even Gus the wonder dog has a bit of grey now 🐾

Good to be back where it all still matters.

There’s something powerful about capturing the scale and complexity of Australia’s remote mining operations.

This brand film for Qube Holdings produced by Ta**us Productions showcases what it truly means to deliver Mine to Market solutions; seamlessly, safely and efficiently.

From world-class heavy haulage fleets to intelligent fatigue monitoring systems and real-time logistics tracking, Qube’s integrated supply chain approach is built around performance, accountability and Zero Harm.

Filming projects like this reminds us how much innovation and dedication goes into operations most people never see.

Proud to partner with organisations operating at this level.

Another favourite RAC campaign produced by Ta**us Productions— the iconic yellow “golden hero” outline graphics 🟡

In a busy print landscape, bold outlines capture attention instantly and anchor the message. RAC’s consistent visual language built trust and recognition across motoring, insurance, and lifestyle services.

Strong visual identity still drives recall: clarity and emotional storytelling remain key across print, digital, and social.

Pulling together a multi-stakeholder project this week, I realised that group problem-solving rarely starts with the problem that’s being presented.

In negotiations and planning, what’s said is often just the surface layer. Underneath are motivations:
*time pressure
*risk tolerance
*reputation
*creative ownership
*value equity

The work isn’t pushing harder or talking louder; It’s listening well enough to understand why each party is holding their position.

That’s where empathy matters- not as softness, but as strategy. When people feel understood, resistance drops. When motivations are visible, solutions appear. Noise creates friction. Restraint creates clarity.
The strongest outcomes come from slowing things down long enough to see what’s really driving the room, and planning from there.

I work in an industry where wardrobe is never cosmetic, it's a strategic tool; It must complement other actors, harmonise with set design and lighting, respect the camera, and support the emotional tone of a scene. The wrong fabric can cause glare or strobing. A bold print can dominate a frame. Mid pastel tones, particularly without pattern, often make the strongest statement on screen because they allow the person to lead, not the clothing.

In filmmaking, wardrobe must:
Complement other actors rather than compete with them
Sit comfortably within a shared colour palette, Signal role, authority, vulnerability or restraint, Support movement and comfort -so performance remains authentic - and so much more!
