This year we will have TWO documentary projects screening at the Revelation Perth International Film Festival.

Prompt: Make a Documentary — a feature documentary exploring AI, filmmaking, creativity, and education — will have its WORLD PREMIERE at the festival.

AND

The Femme Fatales of West Australian Wrestling — a feature documentary following five pioneering women who helped shape WA wrestling history — has also been officially selected as part of the WA Documentary showcase.

Having one project at Revelation would already feel huge. Having two screening in the same festival honestly feels surreal.

Revelation has been one of WA’s most important film festivals for decades and a massive platform for independent cinema, documentary storytelling, and emerging filmmakers, so being part of the 2026 program in this way genuinely means a lot to me.

Both projects came from completely different worlds, but at their core they’re both about people, identity, passion, and the communities we build around storytelling.

Very grateful to every person who contributed, trusted me with their stories, supported the productions, or encouraged me through the process of making these films.

Very excited to officially share that The Femme Fatales of West Australian Wrestling has been selected to screen at the Revelation Perth International Film Festival as part of the WA Documentary showcase.

This film became far more than a wrestling documentary to me. It’s a story about resilience, identity, legacy, and the women who fought to carve out their place within a male-dominated industry here in Western Australia.

Following the journeys of Chili, Harli Hyde, Layla Divine, Michelle K Hasluck, and the lasting legacy of Roxy Ryot, the documentary explores the passion, sacrifice, heartbreak, and determination behind the spectacle of professional wrestling.

What started as time spent embedded in the local wrestling community while directing Spark of the Dream eventually grew into my first feature documentary — and I’m incredibly proud that it will now screen at one of WA’s most important film festivals.

OFFICIAL SELECTION — REVELATION PERTH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2026 ()

I’m incredibly excited to announce that my feature documentary, Prompt: Make a Documentary, has been officially selected for the 2026 Revelation Perth International Film Festival.

This film explores how artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping filmmaking, education, and creative identity — asking whether these emerging tools will democratise storytelling or slowly erode the human foundations of cinema.

Through interviews with filmmakers, educators, researchers, and industry practitioners, the documentary examines authorship, ethics, labour, creativity, and what remains distinctly human in the act of storytelling.

To have this project recognised by Revelation is a huge honour, especially as a Perth filmmaker telling a story deeply connected to Australia’s evolving screen culture.

Tomorrow, my first novella Four Courses is released.

This story began as a screenplay in 2023, but in truth, it started much earlier — in the space between who I thought I’d become after high school, and the reality of who I am now.

It was born from reflecting on the promises we’re given growing up — that if we follow the right path, everything will fall into place. But life isn’t that simple.

Four Courses is about that gap.
The conversations we avoid.
The dreams we put on hold.
The people we used to be.

It all unfolds over one dinner. Four courses. One table.
Old friends reconnect — and nothing stays buried for long.

This story became a way for me to process that tension — between past, present, and future. It’s about friendship, identity, and the weight we carry into adulthood.

“What happened to the person I thought I’d be?”
then this story is for you.
