He was cut from his high school basketball team. Told he wasn't good enough.

He used the pain as fuel.

My "aha moment" with AI wasn't complicated.

I realised it was genuinely powerful when I used a few simple tools โ€” with no real tech background โ€” and achieved results that would have taken me much longer the old way.

No coding. No tutorials. Just practical tools that worked.

If you've been thinking "AI isn't for someone like me" โ€” I was exactly the same.

He was 65 years old, broke, and living off his first Social Security cheque.

He drove across America with a recipe. Got rejected 1,009 times.

There's a real dopamine hit that comes with discovering a tool that just... works.

But for me, the bigger excitement wasn't personal. It was thinking about all the people who could benefit from AI without needing to be technical.

That feeling โ€” of seeing a solution that could help so many โ€” is what keeps me going.

What excited you most when you first heard about AI?

โœˆ๏ธ Working Smarter While You Travel

Most people think travel means putting life on hold.

What if technology could help you stay productive without spending hours behind a laptop?

I'm currently experimenting with AI agents while travelling. Instead of doing every task myself, I can delegate research, content ideas, planning, summaries, and repetitive admin to AI, freeing up more time to enjoy the places I'm visiting.

Imagine spending the morning exploring a local market, enjoying a long lunch by the beach, or discovering a hidden cafรฉ, while an AI agent is quietly working in the background helping you get things done.

This isn't about working harder.

It's about using technology to reclaim your time.

The real promise of AI may not be making us busier. It may be giving us more freedom to focus on experiences, relationships, creativity, and the things that matter most.

How are you using AI in your daily life or travels?

He was fired for "lacking imagination." His first company went bankrupt. He lost the rights to his own character.

On a train ride home, broke and humiliated, he sketched a mouse.

Today she's built a media empire worth over $3 billion.

Every setback is a setup. ๐Ÿ’›

He was beaten up at school so badly... he was hospitalised.

Elon Musk grew up in Pretoria, South Africa. His parents divorced when he was nine. He was small, bookish, and relentlessly bullied. A group of boys threw him down a flight of stairs, then beat him until he lost consciousness. He spent two weeks recovering in hospital. He escaped into books and computers.

He moved to Canada with almost nothing, then made it to the US. When he co-founded SpaceX and Tesla simultaneously, both nearly destroyed him. SpaceX failed its first three rocket launches. Tesla was weeks from bankruptcy in 2008. He was pouring his last dollars into companies the world said were impossible.

In a 2008 interview, he broke down talking about it. He said he never thought about quitting. The alternative wasn't something he could live with.

"When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favour."

From hospitalised schoolboy to founding Tesla, SpaceX, and xAI โ€” companies now reshaping energy, space travel, and artificial intelligence. The most talked-about entrepreneur alive.

Success leaves a trail. Follow it.
