Every 90 days, the entire team from all businesses within the Coliving Collective come together for an off-site day dedicated to strategising, planning, resetting, reflecting, playing and collaborating as one unified force. It’s a day to align on critical goals, tackle milestones, and most importantly, move forward - together.

Although recent budgets allocated millions to housing and homelessness services, much more needs to be done.

For decades, the government has deprioritised housing policy, resulting in underinvestment and a widespread housing affordability and security crisis.

This isn’t a quick fix - all four pillars of housing are in crisis:

Homelessness: Homelessness rates in Australia are higher than in other countries due to decades of underinvestment in shelter and support services.

Social Housing: Severely underfunded and rundown, social housing has long waiting lists, pushing people into an unaffordable private market and worsening homelessness.

Rental Market: Rentals are increasingly out of reach price-wise, with inadequate tenancy laws leaving many in rental stress or substandard housing.

Private Housing: Even households with two incomes are struggling to afford homes near the CBD due to skyrocketing prices placing themselves in financial stress.

Coliving may not be THE solution, but it is a solution that is helping address part of this crisis, and we feel privileged to be part of that solution.
