Been asked why race car builds take so bloody long… this is a perfect example.

That first merge is an off-the-shelf item from a very reputable company, but once we got it, the actual merge was tiny — not much bigger than the Difilippo one that was on the old VE.
We’re trying to squeeze everything we can out of this little 6.0L and build the best B2 Commodore we can, so choking it up there wasn’t going to cut it.
What should’ve been off-the-shelf became another custom job. A bit of cutting, finagling and cussing, Dave at D Sport absolutely nailed it. 👌

Just another one of those little things that turns a race car build into a very long process!

Been a bit quiet on the race car front lately, being on the other side of the country and spending a lot more time go-karting, which has actually been bloody awesome.

But this week it’s back to Sydney to support the sandgropers at and, with some good timing, we can put the finishing touches on the VF SSV CLE Production Car.

🔥 The new headers are back from ceramic coating and looking mint.

We couldn’t get the sizing or merges we wanted off the shelf, so Dave at Dsport — accompanied by a fair amount of swearing 😂 custom made these beautiful 4-2-1 style headers from scratch.
A few more updates to come as the VF starts, but these should do the Troy Worsley engine and Tune Corp MoTeC package justice.

Can’t wait to finally fire it up and give it a proper test at Challenge Bathurst in November. 🏁

Reigning champ David Sieders ( #1 WeatherTech Mazda BT-50) edged out Team Motion Racing’s Adam Marjoram and Aaron Borg to claim Uniden Pole Position in a rapid-fire Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series two-part qualifying with a 1m03.6459s.

Congratulations on your first Uniden Pole Position of the season, ‘Sideways’!

Marjoram ( #15 Team Motion Racing Isuzu D-Max) was second fastest, and based on a timing update, Aaron Borg ( #4 Team Motion Racing Isuzu D-Max) moves into third.
