A Day of Remembrance, Gratitude & Hope 🤍

It was a true privilege to be part of this beautiful Thanksgiving Ceremony and Tree Planting Day, listening to the deeply moving stories of donor families and transplant recipients.

Hearing their journeys, their courage, their gratitude and the lives forever changed through donation was incredibly humbling. ❤️

I was also honoured to meet and hear from the many people who work tirelessly behind the scenes to support donor families and transplant recipients. Their dedication and heartfelt messages made the day even more meaningful.

The heartfelt messages and fingerprints left on the tree are more than just marks.

They represent lives, memories, love, gratitude and hope.

I feel incredibly grateful that my artwork could be part of such a special occasion and a lasting symbol of connection and remembrance.

This custom artwork was created to honour a grandparents’ home that had been part of the family for 60 years.

Before the house was demolished for reconstruction, the family wanted to preserve something that felt alive — not just a picture of the building, but the memories connected to it.

I painted the home onto a glass frame with a two-sided view, leaving the windows unpainted so you can see through them.

The transparent windows represent the memories and life that continue beyond the walls, as though the house is still alive, still holding the people, moments and stories that happened there.

A house may change.
A home lives on through its memories.
