If life (or a neighbour) gives you lemons, pop them in a Food Bag in the fridge! 🍋

To celebrate Earth Month we wanted to share some tips on how to care for our Earth. Reducing our single use plastic use is so important in addition to ensuring food stays fresh to reduce food wastage.

Sadly, we may all know someone that thinks someone else will pick up my slack...but passing the buck is dangerous!

I could go on for hours, but I wanted to share this quote, it hit home to me. To keep doing as much as I can and encourage my children to reduce waste, make conscious purchases, be a good citizen of this Earth. If we all did that, we might just have a chance hey!

I love a good strong cheddar cheese! If I can't get to the deli I do buy the supermarket packs. But...when you cut them open there's not enough to fold over to keep it fresh!

Lunches - in this current economic climate more of us are taking lunch to work, and packed lunches are more popular than canteen lunches at school currently.

Our Wraps make lunching waste free - read on please! I must be honest, I have a box of zip lock bags in my cupboard (it's about 5 years old!) but if you use these daily please read on...

A zip lock bag costs 6c (box of 100 $6) and weighs 4g.

Using a bag every now and again is not great but not a massive issue, but daily = eek! One bag for every day in a school year of 180 days costs $10.80 and the weight of plastic thrown away is 720g.

If you use one for lunch at work, that might be 250 days so your outlay is $14.40 and the weight of plastic in your bin is 1kg. I'm not wanting to preach BUT one of our Wraps costs $17.95 and will last you around 5 years, and then, apart from the Velcro, it will biodegrade.

I love working from home, I am blessed. I am quite organised so it works for me, the balance of work and running the house.

BONUSES - being able to hang out washing, prep dinner and be there when my boys come home from their day at school and work.

DOWNSIDES - it can get a bit lonely, but I am a member of a wonderful mastermind, so they are my colleagues. Oh and no IT dept is hard, but you have to learn fast haha!
