An ex-soldier who shot dead a bikie boss in a long-range sniper attack in WA is taking the stand at the trial for the man accused of masterminding the killing.

Detectives from Cannington Rapid High Harm Offender Response team are seeking public assistance as they investigate an aggravated home burglary which occurred in Carlisle on Friday 29 August 2025.

About 12.20am, two unknown men attended a home on Planet Street, stating they were police officers and producing fake documents before demanding entry. The offenders stole a quantity of cash and a number of personal items, in what police believe was a targeted incident. The offenders fled the premises in a white SUV. There were no reports of injuries. 

The first male is described as being approximately 45 to 55-years-old, of medium build and clean shaven. The second male is described as being approximately 30 to 40-years-old, of slim build and clean shaven. It’s understood both men were wearing a dark blue undershirt, dark blue vest with ‘Police’ written on the back and dark blue pants. 

Detectives are urging anyone with any information relating to this incident, or who saw, or has CCTV or dash-cam vision, of any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area of Planet Street at the time, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.crimestopperswa.com.au

As investigations continue, Homicide Squad Detectives are requesting dash camera footage of any vehicles travelling north and south bound on Wanneroo Road in Wanneroo, between Ocean Reef Road and Dundebar Road, during the time period of 6:15am to 7:00am on Tuesday, 14 October 2025.

Homicide Squad detectives have charged a 27-year-old man, following an investigation into the death of a 58-year-old man in Hocking on Tuesday, 14 October 2025.

About 6.45am, emergency services received reports of a critically injured male inside a residence on Dimitrios Court.

Police and St. John WA attended the scene, and emergency first aid was commenced.

The 58-year-old victim was conveyed to hospital, where he later died as a result of injuries sustained.

It will be alleged about 6.35am that morning, the 27-year-old man attended the residence and a physical altercation occurred with the victim, resulting in the 58-year-old man receiving significant stab wound injuries.

Both parties were known to each other.

A 27-year-old man from Craigie has been charged with one count of ‘Murder’.

He is due to appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 15 October 2025.

Detectives from Transnational and Serious Organised Crime (TSOC) have charged three men following the seizure of eleven fi****ms, over ten kilograms of prohibited drugs and a large sum of cash, from recent search warrants conducted in the northern suburbs.

About 6.00pm on Monday 6 October 2025, detectives conducted a vehicle stop on Wasley Street in North Perth.

A search of the vehicle was conducted, where it will be alleged approximately 350 grams of He**in, an amount of Methylamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located. A 48-year-old man was arrested at the scene and charged with several offences.

About 8.00am on Tuesday 7 October 2025, acting on intelligence, police observed a 36-year-old man entering a unit at a storage facility on Oxleigh Drive in Malaga.
The man was apprehended by police, and it will be alleged the following items were seized from inside the unit:
• 11 fi****ms; six longarm fi****ms, four handguns, and one improvised firearm.
• Approximately 10 kilograms of Methylamphetamine
• Approximately 450 grams of He**in
• Approximately 60 grams of Co***ne
• A large amount of ammunition

About 7.00am, Wednesday 8 October 2025, acting on intelligence, police apprehended a 20-year-old man allegedly in possession of over $220,000 in cash.

It will be further alleged he is linked to six kilograms of Methylamphetamine seized the day prior. It will be alleged four of the fi****ms were stolen from rural homes of lawfully licensed firearm holders, dating from 2012 to 2023. The investigation is continuing into the origin of the other seven fi****ms. 09/10/2025
