Having a worm farm is a great way to produce your own organic fertilizer and reducing emissions by composting food scraps in a
natural way.
Earth worms (different suitable species according to your geographical area) are pretty amazing creatures. They are easy to raise, make a fun little project for kids, and if treated properly will give you 1 of the most amazing fertilizers in form of worm castings and/or worm tea.
Please keep in mind that is best to know how to run a worm farm properly to avoid smell and anaerobic conditions.

Using hydroponic technology for farming has a number of benefits in comparison to traditional cultivation methods.
In hydroponics the roots of the plant have constant access to unlimited oxygen, water and (added) nutrients
allowing to better control the plant’s nutrition, save up to 90% water, improvement in quantity and yields, faster growing crops, high propagation success rate, savings on fertilizers, avoidance of pesticides and herbicides, and a more efficient use of space.
As the world’s population continues to grow, we'd invest time and resources to convert urban rooftops or arid lands
to fertile food growing zones.
