We all have different reasons for why we homeschool. But one common theme I notice among fellow homeschoolers is the desire for something different from the traditional classroom.

Education "at home" doesn't have to look like school. Being out and about can teach kids a lot - you just need to be in the moment with them and observe the lessons unfolding.

As a homeschooling family, we feel the pain too.

We'd like to contribute to the community, so here is our curriculum linker available to use for free.

You don't need to sign up for an account (but I won't object if you do 🄰).

Available for QLD, WA, SA, TAS, NT.

One problem we keep hearing from home education parents is that it's difficult to keep track of curriculum: "I wish it was easier to match the curriculum to activities".

Gnalla solves exactly this problem! Just create a note and Auto Link will do the matching for you. It just takes a couple minutes to write the note and press the Auto Link button.

Here are some examples of how common homeschooling learning moments can link to WA curriculum. Feel free to use this or share this with anybody who needs it ā¤ļø

Today’s WA homeschool day produced so much evidence:

Mixing oobleck → science + English

Reading on the couch → literacy

Measuring ingredients for muffins → maths

Most of us are already doing the learning. The hard part is keeping records that make sense later.

With Gnalla, you capture these moments with a note or photo, and it helps turn them into curriculum‑linked records you can show a moderator and use to see your child’s progress over time.

Curious what that looks like?
Here’s the demo:

Gnalla – Homeschool Documentation & Learning Portfolios Document your child's homeschool journey, share with family and trusted friends, and ace education department reviews. Built for homeschooling families.

Homeschooling means there’s always something to record – books read, projects finished, little breakthroughs.

But the hard part for us was turning all of that into curriculum-aligned records.

Which is why Gnalla was built. It’s an app that lets you just capture the moment. Gnalla does the rest – automatically linking it to outcomes, tracking progress, and adding it to your child’s learning timeline.

Almost any moment could be linked to learning outcomes, just create a note about it and press autolink. You might be surprised.

Homeschooling means you’re not just teaching – you’re also the curriculum coordinator, record keeper, and reporting officer all in one.

Just knowing how your child has met curriculum standards at any point in time can be a lot of work.

You could wait until the moderator meeting to find out...

But parents are using Gnalla to make it instant, any day of the week.

The Milestones page clearly shows progress against curriculum subjects and outcomes.

This happens automaticaly. Simply capture the moment, upload it, and everything is done for you.

Feeling inspired and poking a bit of fun... but the frustration of using old mate ChatGPT for validating if my kid's lessons align with curriculum, is real.

Glad I don't have to deal with that hot mess anymore šŸ’£šŸ¤–šŸ˜‚
