5000meals: Is a WA initiative addressing food insecurity head on.
Engaging & connecting professional chefs, schools & volunteers to take surplus food, (otherwise ending up in landfill) & turning it into nutritious meals for people in need. 5000meals educates both young and old, reduces food waste, and provides healthy meals to agencies that support those in the community that are doing it tough.

On this weekend - Saturday 13th of May!
Prepare several varieties of flavoured breads and receive an intro to sourdough, incorporating bush foods.
This workshop will look at your fridge and pantry and what’s growing in your garden, and bring that together with local seasonal produce, incorporated with Australian traditional botanicals to create a hands-on series of usable relevant and practical recipes for everyday use.
Hosted by Michelle Kays (Foodie and the Chef) who is usually found creating delicious keto recipes, however she also has great passion for saving food from landfill. Join Michelle in the kitchen and learn how to create delicious food!
