Then you get comfortable, covered and settled in.

You may feel some movement, pressure or mild cramping as your bowel responds.

Your therapist can adjust the treatment to keep you comfortable.

Yep, you can generally still have a colonic while you’re on your period. 🙌

Your period doesn’t mean your bowel needs to be put on pause!

In fact, some women notice their digestion and bowel habits change around their cycle, with bloating, constipation or more frequent bowel movements being common.

A colonic can still be performed during your period, and menstruation itself isn’t usually a reason to reschedule.

✨ A few things to keep in mind:
• You may want to wear a tampon or menstrual cup for your comfort
• Let your practitioner know you’re menstruating
• If you’re experiencing very heavy bleeding, severe cramps, dizziness or feeling unwell, it’s best to reschedule or check with your healthcare professional
• Your comfort always comes first!

So if your period shows up the day before your appointment… you don’t automatically have to cancel! 🩸
