We had an absolutely amazing evening at Daphs Restaurant Leederville. I can’t stop telling people about it!! 🎙

This is honestly the best value six course meal we’ve ever tried. Absolutely everything about the meal was on point and so tasty.

At $65 a person it’s very affordable for the experience and huge amount of delicious food you receive. Highly highly recommend ⭐️

Trying new restaurants 🍲 We found Lola's Filipino Diner from a Tik Tok video and knew we had to check it out. We had to wait a while for a table because it was super busy - so we popped down the road to a local pub while we waited.

Once we got our seats we decided on the sausage dish, cheeseburger spring rolls and the special with rice and pork belly 🤤. They let us know that the food would be a little while but it actually came out quite fast! We devoured our meals and I really loved the cheesiness of everything we ate. The meat was perfectly seasoned and the pork was so Smokey and charred!! We really loved our experience and will definitely be back soon 👍

Also have to mention they had great tunes and a really nice atmosphere going in the place, while really made it an awesome experience. Thanks guys for the wicked food and see you soon! 🍛

We had a lovely time at Joeys Swan Valley Diner and would highly recommend checking it out!

They have a lovely outdoor space with lots of seating and a playspace for the kids. The burgers were super meaty and delicious! I had the pulled pork burger which was super generous and saucy - just the way it should be.

We topped it all off with a couple of thick shakes and basically rolled ourselves back to the car 🤣.

Tonight we visited Drasko's Hot Chicken! 🐓 This new place has become a bit of a hit lately in Perth so we thought we’d check it out. Here is our honest review..... 👇

The chicken sando: overall very tasty, chicken was nice, Chris got medium and it wasn’t super hot. ⭐️ 3.5/5

The wings: super super salty and lots of coating. Not much chicken on the wings but the flavour of the spice is still nice. ⭐️ 2/5

Sides: bottomless iced tea, fries and beans were all AMAZING! They were super flavourful and very nicely presented. The sides are worth the money for sure. ⭐️ 5/5

The service: staff were quite friendly, our food took about 20-25 mins to arrive and we sat outside. ⭐️ 4/5

Price: all the above cost us $50

Overall: unfortunately the sides stole the show tonight instead of the chicken, which was a bit disappointing. If we went again we would probably get the chicken sando, fries and iced tea. Overall rating ⭐️ 3/5.

We finally tried Hifumiya and it was everything we expected and more 🙌🏾

The spicy miso pork udon was ballin, went down perfectly with some skewers and a Sapporo beer 🍺

What a fabulous experience! We loved Hermanos en Cantina tacos 🌮 nachos and quesadillas. Everything was great value and super delicious.

To my delight they sold Caesars 😁🇨🇦 and had ice hockey on the tv. The place was packed - clearly a local favorite - and the service was spot on. Highly recommended 🙌🏼

Not everything goes to plan.. over the long weekend we left the house early on Monday morning with plans do a massive Perth bakery tour for our YouTube channel but quickly realised most bakeries 🥯 were shut thanks to the public holiday 🤦🏼‍♀️

So we ended up at a random award winning pie shop in Brighton eating a steak & pepper pie and having a coffee in the rain. It was disappointing but we had a lovely day all the same ❤️

We’re still planning for our bakery tour soon and we’re thinking of featuring Last Crumb Cake Co Mary Street Bakery Chu Bakery ... let us know if you have suggestions for other ones to include!

BEST EVER FOOD EXPERIENCE 👌🏽 // Rusty Pig 🐷 truly is Perth's best fire driven restaurant.... maybe even Perth’s best restaurant, especially if you’re talking value for money and experience! Every dish was super flavorful and charred to perfection. We can’t even begin to describe them all so you’ll have to visit for yourself...

At just $65 per head it’s almost unfair how good of a deal it is for six courses... we left very full and smiling from ear to ear.

The atmosphere, staff and service were all on point. The chef and owner Pete is super down to earth and we loved sitting at the chefs table having a yarn! All in all, this is the best dining experience we’ve had in WA and can’t wait to bring all our friends here to try it out too 🙌🏼

CUBAN FOOD 🍲 for Valentine’s Day at home! Mojito chicken made with a homemade marinade, crunchy Cuban salad and roast potatoes with sour cream.

If we still lived in Queensland I would have taken Chris to The Cuban Broadbeach to have my favorite dish ‘Mojito Chicken 🐓’ but since we can’t I thought I’d recreate the dish myself! First tried about 5 odd years ago and sample many times ever since, the flavors have stuck with me and I crave this combo! Great first time trying this at home, I’d made a few adjustments for next time but all things considered it was brilliant!

The marinade is a mixture of olive oil, onion, garlic, lime and orange 🍊 juices, dried oregano, mint, coriander, salt and pepper. It was a perfect match for the chicken and as a dressing for the salad 👌🏽

CHEESEBURGER 🍔 // Simple smash patty with onions 🧅, dripping with American cheese, stacked with smokey bacon and served on a brioche bun with homemade mac sauce ... Chris outdid himself with this one!

We have a new resident burger maker in the house now 😅👌🏾 Being foodies is so much more than just eating out for us, it’s also about mastering ingredients and new recipes to make epic meals at home!

SHHHH 🤫 // SECRET ingredient crispy chicken wings! These wings are made up of four simple ingredients - wings 😛, flour, salt, and one mystery 🕵️‍♀️ spice.... Any guesses what it is that makes these epic?!!

They make the absolute BEST simple weeknight dinner paired with a salad 🥗 and some of Dave’s homemade habenero hot sauce 🌶 thanks David Reid!

It was so nice to get out of the house tonight! We took a stroll around Elizabeth Quay and visited Gusto Gelato🍦. Can’t resist the amazing salted caramel and luscious raspberry- his and hers 💞

Now, more than ever, am I so grateful for the kilos of leftover cake from my birthday currently sitting in our freezer 👌🏽🤣.

The beautiful Nicole made a massive & amazing Nutella buttercream cake for my birthday last weekend... damn it was good 🤤! As if it wasn’t already tasty enough, she then topped it with all my favorite chocolates 🍫 including KitKat and honeycomb 😍

So for the next four days of lockdown I’m glad we’ve got this to cheer us up 😂.

This was our first time visiting and we’re SO glad we did! The cheeseburger was like a gourmet version of Macca’s, the taste and quality was AMAZING! The chicken 🍗 wings were so crunchy and we loved that they came with free sauce (there’s like 10 kinds to choose from)! The bottomless iced tea was great value and super refreshing 🍋

We made the journey out to Royal’s from our place, which is about a 30 min drive, but we’d do it all over again and recommend you do too!!! Get there nice and early to avoid the line out the door later in the evening. The staff are super friendly and the vibe of the whole place is family friendly with great music and decor.

We recently tried out Big Dog's Burgers and they were exceptional 👌🏽

The Big Dog Deluxe and the Big Bad Wolf were super tasty! The beef patty was very flavorful and we really enjoyed the buns - they don’t fall apart! 🙅🏼‍♀️

For $40 for two people including huge burgers, fries and free sauce we were really happy with our night out and will be back soon to try more from their menu!

We visited Alfreds Kitchen today and it was such a treat! The service, food and atmosphere was so lovely and prepared in a homestyle fashion.

We sat in the gorgeous train 🚂 car and devoured the special, fries and a double bacon cheeseburger. The burgers are exactly what you’d expect at a diner and honestly the whole experience filled a part of my soul that had been really missing small town Canada 🇨🇦 and it’s hospitality.

We had an amazing time and then got to catch up over video chat with some family... it was an amazing morning ❤️❤️

We love visiting M Town Macarons and trying out their huge selection of flavors 😋

The Taro and Peppermint Chocolate Chip flavors were both delicious!

Can’t beat Marion Grasby’s stir fried basil chili 🌶 pork belly! Served with delicious coconut rice and a heap of Thai basil, this is simply an amazing dish that anyone can make!

Perfect for a weeknight dinner or friends over, this is one of my go to dishes for a really solid tasty meal 👌🏽

Here’s a tip: make sure you fry the pork until it’s super crunchy, then have everything else totally ready to go, only stir frying it for a short time to keep everything super crispy! 👏🏻

You can also try using different cuts of pork to find your ideal flavor and crunch.

SUPER Fatty PORK 🐖 Ramen 🍜

Wow Bari-Uma AU has stepped up their game!!! We both got the special - pork flavored shoyu broth ramen with egg, corn, tender succulent pork, bamboo shoots and greens.

This is - in our options - the BEST plain broth ramen we’ve found in Perth. It was well worth the wait and great value - the bowls are packed with so much meaty goodness!!

What a way to start Christmas holidays 👌🏽🌞

Perfect little walk down the coast 🌊 followed by a nice healthy brekky at The Little Bay. Lovely day for it!!

Amazing pasta with oven baked salmon 😋how GOOD is it coming home to THIS? 😍 Chris made this up based on a few of our favorite pasta recipes. I think he out did himself for sure 👌🏽

We’ve heard the hype, we’ve seen the lines out front ... we couldn’t help ourselves, we just had to check out Chop Chop BBQ 🔪🔪

We thoroughly enjoyed the lovely little Asian BBQ spot. We tried both the duck and the roast pork with noodles, paired with a side of chili 🌶 bean sprouts.

The food was honestly so fresh and super quick. It was the perfect little dinner after a long day and for $30 including free tea it was absolutely perfect 👌🏽. We can’t wait to visit again soon.

Our mate from Win-Win Supermarket (Perth) hooked us up with this amazing little BBQ in a pail!! All you need is some charcoal and a selection of your favorite meats and you’ve got yourself some dinner!
