I need a burst of Happy so this Axis Dress gets another outing. Decided at the last minute to wear an old to 2024 after I had made an outfit
I made this during Covid lockdown and wore it to hosted by in 2020. Love this pattern 😍

Happy Frocktails, Perth Sewists, see you soon!👗🌺

Pattern: Axis Dress
Fabric: Printed Linen and plain linen

Teddy Designer Top. The collar was challenging but I got there eventually with help from Style Arc Collar tutorial and Minerva.com tutorial for the full sew on YouTube as the pattern instructions were minimal. I made the short version for a test run and I love it! I added contrast to the collar and sleeve cuffs because the solid navy was too dark for my liking.
Worn here with collar turned down.

My next Teddy will be the tunic length version 🤓

Just finished sewing my outfit for 😊
Mixed and matched the Orlando Tee with the Rosalie Skirt. I used a self-drafted flutter sleeve for the Orlando. The Rosalie is drafted for woven fabrics but it turned out quite well using a 2-way stretch knit (phew!) so easy to sew, dunno why I waited so long to make it.

Fabric: Polycotton stretch knit (my stash from 2 yrs ago)
Patterns: Orlando Tee; Rosalie Skirt

Chuffed with the results. Can't wait to wear it 😍👗

Happy New Year! My Christmas present finally arrived and I've spent the last 2 hours playing with my new

I love it 😍

It's a lighter and compact machine compared to my (very dead) Janome 644D, which I also loved but didn't have the budget to replace. Great instruction manual, easy to thread, sews quiet, and it has free-arm sewing ability (bonus!)

Looking forward to a very sewcial 2024 🎆🥳

YAY!! Very productive weekend of sewing 💪🏽
I cut these patterns during the December holidays but just couldn't find any time to sew.

My 2023 Summer wardrobe staples include (from top left) top, shorts, swing top

Patterns Miller Shorts, Willow Tank top loungewear.

It's time for bubbles.  Cheers my fellow sewists 🍾

Took a break from posting as I hadn't had much sewing time = no new me-mades.
I also thought it was time for a little zoosh-up of my profile pic, so here it is.

My sewing goals this year is to sew my stash - fabric and patterns.

Let's see how resolute I am. It will be an interesting sewing year 🤓

How satisfying is getting the sleeve binding right? Am looking forward to finishing this project in time for my dinner outing next week.

I love linen. There, I said it👌🏼

Also, I'm not advertising a vehicle for sale. Just sayin' 🤣

I had a fab sewing weekend. Took me 3 years to get the confidence to sew but I finally made one. TBH, it's not as difficult to sew as I thought. Cut a size 16, shortened rise by 2 inches, narrowed the pants leg by 1 inch to get my preferred fit. Since I'm a little vertically challenged, the jumpsuit is a full-length pants leg on me 🤷🏻‍♀️Very happy with the result. I will be making a few more for sure📌
Printed linen

2nd project is my fave tee with a bell sleeve. Quick sew, great result. Everytime. This is a lovely shaped tshirt pattern. Sewn mostly on an overlocker 🙌🏼

brought back my sewjo! Thankyou for the free pattern 🙏🏼
Made this cutie for my girl .rea.mae and I can't wait to see the dress on her. Also, how satisfying is a neat neck binding? 😍

Adjustments made: shortened the sleeves, added spaghetti ties to the back to cinch in waist, added hidden pockets, shortened skirt length by 5cms coz the girl wants to show off her legs (and why not?) and made own bias binding to finish V-neckline as I wasn't keen on the broader width on original pattern.

Quite a fun sew overall. This pattern requires FBA for C-cup or fuller. Next time, I would lengthen the bodice pieces by 5cms so that the top sits on the waistline rather than the underbust line, and probably reduce the width of the skirt panels so that the gathered skirt is not so voluminous (unless you like it like that).
