I’m very excited and proud that the City of Joondalup is a key sponsor of this fantastic joint initiative of Destination Perth, City of Stirling, Scentre Group- Westfield and the Hillarys Boat Harbour Traders Association.

The Sunset Coast Explorer will run for 13 weeks over Spring and Summer, connecting the Sunset Coast between Whitfords and Scarborough, stopping at Hillarys and North Beach in between.

❗️Important Easter Reminder❗️

Did you know the foil wrapping from the Easter eggs and Easter bunnies you eat can be recycled?

Chocolate Easter eggs / Easter bunnies are typically wrapped in coloured foil and come in cardboard or plastic holders — all of which can be recycled across Australia. The way to help the recycling process is to scrunch up the foil into to fairly big balls.

Aluminium foil is one of the most recyclable of the products, as it saves the most energy if we do recycle it. In Australia it is usually made back into more aluminium.

The Easter egg / bunnies foil could end up being the aluminium in a can of soft drink or could end up being more aluminium foil or an aluminium baseball bat or toy.

So this Easter do your part for the environment! When you have eaten all the yummy chocolate from your Easter eggs and bunnies, don’t forget to scrunch all the foil into big balls and put it straight into your yellow recycling bin!
