Hi 👋, it’s me, Kloe (and my giant hat). For those of you that don’t know me, I am the owner of KHE. My little extension studio is located in Noosaville on the Sunshine Coast, QLD.

I love what I do and I am so passionate about helping women feel beautiful and confident through the power of hair extensions.

Correct application, hair health & educating clients on how to care for their extensions is SUPER important to me, so you will never find me rushing through an appointment, just to get more clients in my chair in a day.

Speaking of appointments, I am a solo act and work by appointment only. I only ever work with one client at a time. This means you will always have my 100% attention and there will never be anyone else in the studio at the time of your appointment 👌🏼.

I specialise in weft & tape extensions offering Invisible bead, flat weft, machine weft & beaded (no sew) weft extensions as well as standard and Invisible tape extensions.

You’ll find my little studio inside the Brew Store Noosa. Afterpay is available for transactions over $200 and my operating hours are

A $100 deposit is required upon booking any new extensions install appointments as hair is orders per client and not kept in stock in the salon. BYO extension appointments require a $50 deposit to secure your appointment.

When it comes to extension application, a bad color match can make or break your install.  
 
Getting the correct colour match is one of key reasons why consults a so important, and why I always ask potential clients to come into the salon for a consult rather than sending photos, as they can sometimes be tricky to get a true indication. 
 
Remember, cheaper isn't always better when it comes to choosing an extension tech and you have every right to ask questions to make sure your going to get a great end result.

𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐒! Summers on the way, and I need you to focus real quick.  
 
Did you know that the sunscreen you wear could be staining your extensions 🤯! 
 
Blonde hair & blonde hair extensions are particularly susceptible to turning pink or orange. Ladies with darker extensions, may see a slight change in colour, but the effect is particularly noticeable on blonde extensions that have gone through more processing. 
 
𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧? 
1) Avebenzone (Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane) (yeah I don’t know how to pronounce that either) is an oil-soluble ingredient that’s used in some sunscreen s to absorb the full spectrum of UVA rays. 
2) Octocrylene, added as a stabiliser because Avebenzone degrades in light. This duo can be found in differing quantities in sun protection products  
 
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧? 
Put simply the colour change is caused by a chemical reaction. When the sunscreen is absorbed into the hair and exposed to UV light, it causes the cells to break down in a process known as Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS). The cells break down and go looking for electron particles to form a new cell structure….SCIENCE 👊. When your hair is rinsed in water, from showers or pools, then the electron particles in the minerals in the water like Iron, Copper, Magnesium, Calcium and Silica, attach to the hair cells creating a reaction. 
 
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐃𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠? 
you 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 wear your hair up in a bun to keep it from brushing against your body where sunscreen has been applied 𝐎𝐑 you could use Avenbenzone free sunscreen. It may be a little pricier, but well worth the extra coin to protect your precious extensions.

Maintenance of your hair extensions is crucial to making sure no damage is caused to your natural hair and your scalp remains healthy. The longer you leave your maintenance appointments the more your hair grows out putting pressure and weight on the roots as the extensions grow down – This can lead to breakage and matting. 
 
Please remember to book your maintenance appointments in advance where you can, especially coming into the holiday/party season.
