We're back! 🍳❤️
After a wonderful family holiday, we're excited to be back in the kitchen with our amazing ALMA community.
One of our favourite holiday memories was joining a local family cooking class in Nusa Lembongan with Lembongan Cooking and Dining Experience . It was a beautiful reminder that food connects people, cultures, and communities wherever we go.
Thank you for the warm welcome and inspiration! 🙏
We're refreshed, inspired, and ready for another term of cooking, learning, confidence-building, and friendship. See you all soon! 💛

The kitchen might be taking a little holiday, but we couldn't leave without showing off some of these amazing creations first! 🍽️✨
Every meal is more than just food — it's an opportunity to build confidence, learn new skills, and have fun along the way.
We'll be taking a break from 6 June to 17 June and look forward to returning on 18 June for more cooking adventures.

Nothing says comfort like a warm bowl of homemade soup on a cold day 🍲❄️
Cooking comforting food together is not just about the final dish — it’s about building confidence, independence, creativity, and sharing moments around food.
Winter is definitely soup season at our kitchen ❤️

We loved reading this article about helping young people explore new foods and build confidence around eating. 🍅🥦🥕
This is very similar to the approach we believe in during our cooking sessions.
Food should never feel forced or overwhelming — it should be explored through curiosity, participation, routine, and positive experiences.
Many participants start with a very limited range of foods or feel unsure about trying new ingredients. Through cooking, touching, smelling, preparing, and sharing meals together, we often see confidence slowly grow over time.
Sometimes it starts with tasting a new vegetable.
Sometimes it starts with simply having it on the plate.
And sometimes, a participant who once only ate plain foods is suddenly excited to cook something completely new.
Small steps can create big changes. 💛

There’s something really special happening in our kitchen this week 💛
One of our participants came up with this delicious idea… and together with Davide, they tested it, refined it, and brought it to life.
Now it’s become the dish of the week — and everyone is giving it a go!
🍠 Sweet potato chips
🌽 Creamy corn
🥑 Fresh guacamole
Simple, colourful, and full of flavour… but most importantly, it’s a recipe built from confidence, creativity, and a sense of “I can do this.”
This is what we love most — when an idea turns into something shared, enjoyed, and recreated by others in the kitchen.
Proud moment for everyone involved 👏

Some of our recipes look a little different… and that’s on purpose 💛
We know that not everyone learns the same way. For some of our participants, reading a full recipe can feel overwhelming — so we’ve created step-by-step visual recipes with real pictures instead.
Each step is clear, simple, and easy to follow, helping build confidence and independence in the kitchen.
Because cooking isn’t just about the final dish… it’s about feeling capable every step of the way ✨

🌿🍲 From our family table to yours 🍲🌿
Over the past few weeks, our participants have been cooking two very special recipes… both inspired by meals close to Livia’s heart 🇧🇷💛
These are the kinds of dishes she grew up eating with her family back in Brazil — the same ones she now cooks at home with her own family, and now, together with Davide, we’re passing them on to our participants 👨🍳✨
More than just recipes, these sessions are about:
✅ Learning real, everyday cooking skills
✅ Building confidence in the kitchen
✅ Sharing stories, culture, and connection through food
Watching participants recreate these meals, add their own touch, and grow more independent each time is what it’s all about 🌱
Food connects us — and these moments in the kitchen mean so much more than what’s on the plate 💛
🔥🍔 Burger Night + UNO: No Mercy! 🎲🔥
Our participants came together to build their own burgers (yes, stacked exactly how they like it 👌), then jumped into UNO: No Mercy!
It was all about connection, confidence, and having fun in a safe and supportive space.
We love seeing everyone open up, share laughs, and create memories together — this is what it’s all about.
👀 More social cooking nights coming soon!
