⚠️ The Missed Blessing

When I used to sit with my teachers in Yemen and in Syria, I never once heard them butcher صلى الله عليه وسلم (ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) not during a lesson, not in casual conversation, and not even in passing.

There was always clear adab with his noble station ﷺ, and deep awareness of who was being mentioned on their tongues.

It’s something I’ve reflected on often, and it needs to be said openly now.

Many preachers and teachers online are mispronouncing this sacred phrase. You hear things like صلعسلم or سعسلم or سعسم rushed, distorted, and stripped of clarity.

This is about both pronunciation and a loss of blessing.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيَّ وَاحِدَةً، صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ عَشْرًا
“Whoever sends one blessing upon me, Allah will send ten blessings upon him.”
(Sahih Muslim 408)

He ﷺ also said:

يرفع له بها عشر درجات، ويكتب له بها عشر حسنات، ويمحى عنه بها عشر سيئات
“He is raised ten ranks, ten good deeds are written for him, and ten sins are erased.”
(Musnad Ahmad 17210)

Why throw that away by mumbling it without care?

Every time you say ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam correctly, with intention and respect, you’re gaining reward.

Say it properly, with awareness and love.

البركة المفقودة ⚠️

عندما كنت أجلس مع مشايخي في اليمن وسوريا، لم أسمعهم قط يلوِّنون عبارة صلى الله عليه وسلم تحريفًا — لا أثناء الدروس، ولا في الحديث العابر، ولا حتى بشكل سريع.

كان هناك دائمًا أدب واضح مع مقامه ﷺ الشريف، ووعي عميق بمن يُذكر اسمه على اللسان.

وقد تأملت في هذا كثيرًا، وحان الوقت أن يُقال هذا الأمر بصراحة.

كثير من الوعاظ والمعلمين على الإنترنت اليوم يُسيئون نطق هذه العبارة الجليلة. تسمع كلمات مثل صلعسلم أو سعسلم أو سعسم — مشوشة، مسرعة، وفاقدة للوضوح.

هذا الأمر يتعلق بالنطق الصحيح، وفقدان البركة معًا.

قال النبي ﷺ:

مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيَّ وَاحِدَةً، صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ عَشْرًا
رواه مسلم (408)

وقال ﷺ:

يُرْفَعُ لهُ بها عشرُ دَرَجَات، ويُكْتَبُ لهُ بها عشرُ حَسَنَات، ويُمحَى عنه بها عشرُ سَيِّئَات
رواه أحمد (17210)

فلماذا يفرّط الإنسان بهذه البركات العظيمة من أجل استعجالٍ أو إهمال؟

في كل مرة تقول فيها صلى الله عليه وسلم بشكل صحيح، بنيّةٍ وحضور قلب، تنال بها الأجر.

قلها بإتقان، ووعي، ومحبة.
صلى الله عليه وسلم

اللهم صلِّ على سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم

His Blessed Voice ﷺ

“His speech was clear and distinct. Each word was spaced so it could be easily understood.”
– Reflected in multiple hadiths in Shamā’il al-Tirmidhī

He ﷺ didn’t rush his words.
He spoke with calm, clarity, and meaning — so hearts could absorb every sentence.

Let our speech follow his: clear, thoughtful, and full of benefit.
