Time to shed some old beliefs. If you think snakes are out to get you, we hate to hiss and tell you this but you've been listening to some pretty sssuspect stories.
🐍 Snakes don't chase people for fun.
🐍 Not all snakes are aggressive.
🐍 Most snakes would rather avoid humans altogether.
In other words, they're far less interested in you than you are in them.
We're shedding light on eight common snake myths and separating the facts from the fiction, so you can stop letting hiss-teria constrict your understanding.

👃 Ever wondered why so many Roman busts are missing their noses?
The portrait of Emperor Nero (the first bust in the video) didn't lose its nose by accident. After his death, his image was defaced as part of a damnatio memoriae, an official attempt to erase unpopular figures from history.
The rest are most likely victims of misadventure/wear and tear. After nearly 2,000 years, the part of a statue's head most likely to break when it falls is the bit sticking furthest out: the nose! 🤥
Visit ROME: Empire, Power, People and come face-to-face with emperors, gods and everyday Romans.
