Designed in 1948 by Danish architect Poul Cadovius, the Royal System was a pioneering concept in modular furniture. As one of the first wall-mounted shelving systems, it offered a sleek, space-saving alternative to traditional furnishings.
Cadovius’s vision combined functionality with elegance, allowing users to customise shelves, cabinets, and drop-down units to suit their needs. Slim vertical supports and brass brackets hold beautifully crafted teak components, creating a lightweight, architectural presence.
Its modularity and clean design made it ideal for post-war living — and it remains just as relevant today. A hallmark of Danish Modernism, the Royal System embodies practicality, minimalism, and enduring quality.
Furniture for life — built to last, designed to move with your needs, and destined to become a treasured family heirloom.
