Calling all parents! There’s a brand new park in South Morang and it’s honestly one of those spots that is a wonderland for all the family. 😍

📍 Bunjil Nganga Parkland – Quarry Hills
(“Bunjil Nganga” means Eagle View 🦅)

This is now the largest parkland in the City of Whittlesea – sitting on a massive 114 hectares of open space, bushland and grasslands.

Here’s what you’ll find 👇🏼

• Viewing platform with city skyline views
• Natural bushland (you may spot kangaroos 🦘)
• Rotundas + picnic tables
• Shade areas
• Car park access

Top 10 Things Parents Forget to Pack 🤭🏕️

1. Warm Layers (Yes!! Even in Summer)

Aussie nights get cold even after hot days. Always pack extra jumpers, thermals, and socks for the kids.

2. Extra Clothes (More Than You Think) 😂

Mud, water, food spills… kids go through outfits fast. One “just in case” set isn’t enough. Haha

3. Closed-Toe Shoes

Thongs are great, but kids need proper shoes for bikes, playgrounds, bush walks, and cold mornings.

4. Head Torches or Night Lights

Late-night toilet trips are real!! A small torch or clip-on light makes it way easier (and less scary).

5. Insect Repellent

Mosquitoes love campsite evenings. Pack kid-friendly repellent and after-bite cream.

6. Sunscreen (And Lip Balm With SPF)

Even cloudy days can burn. And dry, windy campsites can chap their lips fast.

7. Baby Wipes

Sticky hands, quick clean-ups, wiping tables, emergency showers… we swear the wipes solve everything!

8. Rubbish Bags

For wet clothes, dirty shoes, food scraps, or general rubbish. They’re lifesaving.

9. Power Bank / Chargers

Even if you’re “disconnecting,” you’ll still want your phone for photos, maps, or emergencies.

10. A Comfort Item From Home

A familiar pillow, blanket, or soft toy makes bedtime smoother, especially for younger kids.
