Memoir Award - Bridport Prize We all have a story to tell about ourselves, the good, the bad and the how did I end up there? Celebrate a snapshot of your life, a fragment in time or rear view mirror look at what was and now is.

We are excited to announce that Fizza Abbas is the winner of Writing NSW's micropoetry competition for her vivid and thoughtful 5-line poem.

The judges reported that it was especially difficult to pick a winner as we received many wonderful entries. The Writing NSW community is full of talented writers, and we are so excited by the creativity in our midst.

Calling all non-fiction writers ✏️ Applications for the University of Melbourne's Peter Blazey Fellowship are now open! One writer will be awarded $20,000 for a work in progress in the fields of biography, autobiography and life writing.
