✨️ Mackay and District Kart Club - Round 5✨️

This weekend, we had a run at our local track in Mackay. With some awesome weather and a solid field, we knew we were in for some good racing.

Results:
12 competitors, random grid draw
Heat 1 - P10-->P3 (fastest on track)
Heat 2 - P2-->P4
Heat 3 - P4-->P1 (fastest on track)
Final - P1-->P1 🥇

With such a solid field and everyone being well and truly on the pace, we knew consistency was going to be key. Thanks to all the guys and girls for some close and hard racing.

✨️ Townsville Kart Club - AKC Shakedown ✨️

It was just Dad and I last weekend heading up to Townsville for one last run before AKC in July. Let just say it was a very mixed bag for the weekend.

Day 1
Qualifying - P9/15
Heat 1 - P9-->P6
Heat 2 - P9-->P4
Heat 3 - P6-->P3

We had a solid day Saturday, making strong gains all day and staying well and truly on the pace.

Day 2
Heat 4 - P3-->P6 (note to self: always keep the foot down until you see the chequered flag 🏁🫣 - especially when you have been P2 for almost the whole race)
Final - P4 --> P6 (note to self: don't pass on the corner that Dad keeps telling you not to pass on 😏)

Sunday was not so solid, but provided some important life and race lessons 😅

✨️ Whitsunday Moto Sports Club - Karting - Great Barrier Reef Titles ✨️

What a fabulous weekends racing! Had an absolutely cracking line up of drivers with some spectacular Queensland weather making for the perfect day's racing.

Results:
Qualifying- P4/11
Heat 1 - P4-->P3
Heat 2 - P4-->P3
Heat 3 - P3-->P3
Heat 4 - P3-->P3
Final - P3-->P2! 🥈

Kart and motor were on point all weekend thanks to Dad and BOB TUNE. Still working on some mistakes in my driving, but overall I am super stoked with my performance.

Thanks to all the boys on track for some tight and fast racing, shout out to Aston Mills Brothers Racing who dropped a chain in the final, super unlucky mate, was shaping up to be a tight finish!

Off to Townsville Kart Club this weekend for the AKC Shakedown!

✨️Australian Kart Championship Round 2✨️

The second round of AKC saw us heading to Ipswich Kart Club. As one of Australia's most technical and ruthless tracks, we knew we were in for some pretty awesome racing.

Qualifying - 32/55
Solid finishes in all the heats had me starting out of P29 for the final.
🏁Final - P29-->P34
Sitting 31st overall for the Championship.

Not the result we were hoping for in the final, but some nerves on my part and over-driving the kart meant lots of mistakes, but that also meant a lot of learning as well.

The kart was on fire for the most part, with me putting down some solid laps throughout the weekend.
