This fella has caused the airport some absolute grief over the last couple of months being parked right by their front door by the gardens. Every time is too quick for us.
But that’s the game with these little Eastern Browns… they are bloody quick! We gotta be quicker.

Snake season is well and truly back and they’re on the move.

It probably sees me as a predator since i just man handled the poor fella to relocate it from a ladies house in Walkerston and just wants away from me😂

This beautiful little guy (or girl) is an Eastern Small Eyed Snake. One of the “highly venomous” snake species we find in the Mackay area and are common right down the east coast of Australia.
These little guys average 40cm in length and, being nocturnal, you’ll typically find them out and about as night time.
Despite their jet black body and often pink belly resembling a Red Belly Black Snake, they are a completely different species of snake.
