Round 2 of the Australian Kart Championship done and dusted! 🏁

Plenty of highs, a few lessons along the way, and now fully focused on stepping it up for Round 3 in Townsville. 💪🇦🇺🏎️

🏁Australian Kart Championship - Round 2 Ipswich, QLD

Had a great weekend at Ipswich for the 2nd round of the Australian Kart Championship, coming away with some solid results and banking some good points in the championship.

We’re continuing to make progress, thanks to the incredible support from CXR Racing Engines and Jace Matthews Racing, as we take on some of the best drivers from Australia, New Zealand, and across the Southern Hemisphere.

Results:

Saturday:
Qualifying - 6th / 24 in group (9th / 48 overall)
Heat 1 B vs C - P6 ➡️ P6 / 24
Heat 2 A vs C - P6 ➡️ P13 / 24 (flat tyre mid race)

Sunday:
Heat 3 C vs D - P5 ➡️ P5 / 24
Heat 4 Odd points - P8 ➡️ P12 / 24

Final - P16 ➡️ P15 out of 40

For Round 2 we ended up 16th out of 48 and for the overall Championship standings after 2 Rounds 20th out of 62

Day One is done and dusted ✅ - Fridays wrap up:

With the TAG 125 class oversubscribed with 48 drivers, practice was split into groups, and the fastest times set the grid order for qualifying

Official Practice Results:
P1 – 25 out of 28 ( Retired - throttle issue)
P3 – 17 out of 34
P4 – 7 out of 31
P6 - 13 out of 33

We wrapped up the day sitting 13th out of 48 overall based on times which puts us P7
in the even group for todays qualifying 🔥

We are excited to be racing in the Penrite Australian Kart Championship for round two at the Ipswich Kart Club in the TAG 125 Class.

The broadcast will be on 7+ on Saturday from 12:30pm and Sunday from 11:30am local time.

On Saturday, we headed to Townsville Kart Club for Round 3 of the Club Championship.

With a smaller TaG 125 field, we approached the weekend as a valuable opportunity to fine-tune and ensure we’re fully prepared heading into Round 3 of the Australian Kart Championship in July.

A big shoutout to the club, officials, and volunteers for delivering a brilliantly run event — your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated.
