Cricket clubs are a great place for community connection so why not get along to your Local Club this summer.

Did You Know:
If your Home Club only has a Senior Women's or Male Teams you can play Junior Girls for another Club at the same time!

It's a great way to make friends in your same age group and also the simplest pathway to Representative teams and the Geelong Cricket Club

🏏 I was honored to join Libby Coker MP, Mayor of Golden Plains Shire Council Cr Helena Kirby, and Sharon Boyd, Lethbridge Reserve Committee of Management, to announce that $250,000 will be invested in new facilities at Lethbridge Recreation Reserve!

$250,000 in funding from the Andrews Labor Government's 2020 Local Sports Infrastructure fund will help install lighting and an irrigation system at Lethbridge Recreation Reserve. The ground is the home of Lethbridge Cricket Club and the funding will enable Golden Plains Shire Council to upgrade the facilities for these clubs.

Better facilities make it easier for Victorians to get back into local sport and recreation and live active and healthy lifestyles.

Let there be light!

It was an honour to join Michaela Settle MP to celebrate the official openings the Lethbridge Lighting and Irrigation Project.

The upgrades mean the footy and cricket clubs can welcome more participants to train and play into the night.

Our local sporting clubs are the heart of our community. I’m so proud to support them!

Firstly I want to say an enormous and heartfelt thank you to the LCC for the honour of awarding me my life membership and I apologise for not making an attempt to acknowledge that last night. My emotions were a bit high and frankly I didn’t want to make a fool of myself. I can honestly say that doing what I do is just part of being connected to such a wonderful club and I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t enjoy it. I need to work on my onfield performance but that’s for another time! The boys at the club are genuinely some of the loveliest young men you could ask to have at a club. Your thanks is always noted and appreciated. To the gorgeous girls who joined the LCC this season I seriously cannot express what you have brought to the club with your passion, enthusiasm and contribution. Just your presence has elevated the club to new heights. I must give a huge thank you to Matt, Sharlene and their boys Nicholas and Jamie for your help at Thursday night dinners. I could not have managed without you. Congratulations to all the winners of awards for the season with some standout performances. I am very humbled and honoured to have received my life membership with some other very deserving recipients and congratulations to them as well. Finally I would like to acknowledge the members of the committee for their tireless work always. Amanda and Damo what a fantastic finish to the season. You did an incredible job with presentation night. Congratulations to you all. ❤️

R.I.P to the king 👑

A sad day for all cricket fans as we all mourn the loss of the one of the greatest to ever do it in Shane Warne and for the Rosellas we have the unique distinction to say the goat once played a game for us. The day Shane Warne played for the Lethbridge Rosellas is forever etched in the memories of everyone young and old not only at the club but the wider community and is still talked about regularly around the bar for his laidback and fun loving attitude he had that day.

The Lethbridge Cricket Club would like to take the opportunity to thank Michaela Settle MP, Mayor Cr Gavin Gamble and the team at the Golden Plains Shire for helping our club move forward with these wonderful new nets. They are a great investment in our growing club.

🏏 Howzat! The new cricket nets were officially opened at the Lethbridge Recreation Reserve this morning, with Michaela Settle MP and Golden Plains Mayor Cr Gavin Gamble cutting the ribbon on the new training facility with members of the Lethbridge Cricket Club.

The project was a partnership project with $100,000 from the Victorian Government, $50,000 from Council and $20,000 from the Lethbridge Cricket Club. An impressive fundraising effort from the growing club, which has operated continuously since 1879, and fields junior, men’s and women’s teams. We hope the Lethbridge Rosellas enjoy their new training facility for many years to come!

What a fantastic night our and Teesdale’s juniors had last night participating in Greg Hansen’s coaching masterclass. Running sessions for both our 11’s and 13’s, all players took away lots of tips and advice to continue to develop their skills.

This season the Lethbridge Cricket Club has not only prioritised developing skills but also providing a safe and welcoming team environment. The Lethbridge Cricket Club has reviewed and endorsed Cricket Australia's Framework for Safeguarding Children and Young People and our club is committed to ensuring we provide a safe environment for all our young people.
