We are humbled and excited to receive a nomination for Best Direction of a Musical for our 2025 production of Gutenberg! The Musical at the 2026 Tasmanian Theatre Awards.

This nomination is shared with our entire team, our two wonderful cast members had as much creative influence as I had, and we wouldn't have been able to create the show we did without the wonderful support of our band and crew.

So glad to see that Bud and Doug's dreams really did get eaten, and Gutenberg is off to Broadway!

Congratulations to all our fellow Nominees and all the other companies in Launceston who received nominations last night.

TONIGHT!!!

I saw the final run of the show last night and honestly, EVERYONE is doing incredible work. This is a show that demands to be seen, and we hope we can get as many people to pack into our hall tonight to see The Sensation Girls shout from the rooftop that they demand to be heard.

There is one moment, very close to the end of the show, that made me very emotional last night. A raw, unplugged, piece of theatre magic that tells us all what it is to be human.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll leave with songs stuck in your head. And all for only $15!!

What could be better!?

Introducing The Sensation Girls!

Our fantastic cast, led by guest director Caitlyn Cutler, have begun a busy and intense rehearsal period for our upcoming Dramatized Playreading of Katy Warner's GIRL BAND, to be performed at the Elderly Citizens Club, 16 Landale Street, Invermay on Thursday the 2nd of October.

“UNIVERSALLY, WOMEN WITH PERSONALITIES ARE HATED” – Billie Eilish

It’s 1994 and powerhouse record label managers, Craig and Darren, have created the girl-band to end all girl-bands. They have been moulded, twisted, and worked to become the girls that everyone wants. The Sensation Girls. Problem is, The Sensation Girls don’t know who they are anymore.

When unofficial leader DeeDee unexpectedly quits, things begin to unravel. The girls are getting older and bolder and they know what they want, what they really, really want.

After having it's world premiere in 2023, Katy Warner's GIRL BAND is back, bringing together an entire team of local female artists to tell what Limelight described as "an important play that highlights how far the entertainment industry has to go"

"Girl Band powerfully challenges the exploitation of women in this industry and amplifies female empowerment". - Grace Mitchell

Basti (Nelson Clay) and Rdeca's (Charlotte Brooke) love story might be unconventional and forbidden, but so was Romeo & Juliet's. FIRST LOVE IS THE REVOLUTION is a beautifully poignant and touching story of the lengths we go to protect that first passionate experience of Love.

Also starring Leigh Oswin, Janice Molineux, Caitlin Stirling and Eli Jones and directed by Allison Keane, First Love is the Revolution is more than just your average playreading.

Expect to laugh cry and be treated to a wild animal dance party!

Get your tickets now as we are only showing for ONE NIGHT, this Thursday the 19th at the Elderly Citizens Club, Invermay. (16 Landale Street)
