No, this photo wasn't taken today.
But with it being the first day of winter, it felt appropriate to pull out a photo of Phil and I rugged up by the ocean looking like we'd accidentally booked a holiday to Antarctica. š
While many of us are feeling the cold on the first day of winter, today is also a reminder to .
What started as a breast cancer awareness campaign has become a monthly reminder for me to pay attention to my overall health.
Not just the obvious things.
My energy. My stress levels. My sleep. My mindset. My body.
Because our bodies are pretty clever. They often whisper long before they scream.
Research tells us that chronic stress can impact everything from our immune system and sleep quality to heart health and overall wellbeing. Yet so many of us push through, telling ourselves we'll slow down "when things settle down."
The reality?
Things rarely settle down on their own.
So today, while you're searching for your beanie, turning up the heater and wondering where autumn disappeared to, take five minutes for a health check too.
š Book that appointment you've been putting off. š Do your self-check. š Check in on your mental health. š Ask yourself how you're really going.
Your business needs you.
Your family needs you.
And most importantly, you need you.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to locate my winter woollies and complain about the temperature until at least September. š

Fresh flowers from yesterday's baby shower, a candle burning and a quiet few hours to myself.
This weekend has been a beautiful mix of family, friendship and business.
With all the excitement of preparing for Alarna's baby shower, spending time with family and enjoying the special moments that make life so meaningful, there were a few things on my business to-do list that didn't quite get finished during the week.
And honestly, I love having a few hours on a Sunday to catch up.
Not because I have to.
Because I enjoy what I do.
There is something incredibly satisfying about ticking off those lingering tasks, clearing some space in my head and setting myself up for the week ahead.
For me, one of the greatest gifts of running our own business is the flexibility to make room for both.
The celebrations. The family moments. The friendships. The work that lights me up.
Sometimes that means a busy week and a few focused hours on a Sunday afternoon.
And that's okay.
In fact, it's exactly the kind of life and business I've worked to create.
Now, with flowers on my desk and a sense of accomplishment creeping in, I'm feeling excited for a new month, a new week and all the opportunities ahead.
What helps you feel prepared and intentional heading into a new week? š

Another beautiful day celebrating love, family, friendship and the very special little person who will soon make us a family of three generations. š
This weekend we gathered to celebrate Alarna and Daniel as they prepare to welcome their first baby into the world.
One of the activities from the baby shower was decorating wooden blocks. As I looked at each block, I couldn't help but think about the village already surrounding this baby with love, hopes, dreams and good wishes.
As parents, every stage has been an adventure. From first steps and first days at school, through to careers, relationships, engagements and weddings. And now, somehow, we're here preparing to watch our own beautiful girl become a mum.
I'll admit, I'm not quite sure I'm ready to be called Nana yet š, but I am incredibly excited about this next chapter and the privilege of watching Alarna and Daniel create a family of their own.
What filled my heart most was looking around the room and seeing a friendship circle that has been together and stood beside each other through challenges and celebrations, engagements and weddings, and who are now sharing this next season of life together.
There is something incredibly special about friendships that grow up with you.
The laughter, the stories, the memories, and now the excitement of watching these friendships step into parenthood and begin creating memories for the next generation.
Days like this leave me feeling so grateful.
For family. For friendship. For the village that helps raise a child. And for the joy of watching life come full circle.
My heart is very full. š

Thereās something about the eve of Anzac Day that makes you pauseā¦
Not just to rememberābut to really feel the weight of the stories that have been passed down through families.
Iāve grown up hearing them.
My mumās dadā¦
swapping places in the trench for a cigaretteā¦
only to watch his mate lose his life moments later.
A great uncleā¦
who carried more than anyone could seeā¦
and eventually couldnāt carry it anymore.
And you start to wonderā
how much can one person hold?
The trauma.
The loss.
The things they saw⦠that weāll never fully understand.
Yet because of themā¦
we get to come home.
We get to sit around the table with our families.
We get to build businesses, communities, and lives that feel safe.
Thatās not something I take lightly.
As an ambassador for The Rising Sun Charitable Trust, Iām reminded that remembrance isnāt just about looking backā¦
Itās about how we show up now.
How we support those who are still carrying the impact of service.
How we create connection, understanding, and community for those who need it most.
Lest we forget.
If this message resonates, take a moment tomorrowā¦
not just to rememberābut to reach out, check in, and connect.

With so many celebrations this week turned into š
Have you done your checkin?
19/03/2026
Thereās something about putting on a headset that makes it all feel a little more real⦠and a little outside my comfort zone.
Not my usual look but maybe thatās the point.
Saying yes to things that stretch you.
Sharing the stories that donāt always get told.
The messy middle, the lessons, the moments that shape how we show up in business and life.
Grateful to jump on the mic with Late Start Advantage and have a real conversation about what it actually looks like behind the scenes.
Because most of us didnāt start with a perfect planā¦
We just started.
And figured it out along the way.
šļø Have you ever said yes to something that felt a bit uncomfortable⦠but turned out to be exactly what you needed?

Whatās one small habit that strengthens trust in your business?
03/03/2026
Can I confess something?
Iāve had a little eye twitch this past weeks over emails š
You send three clear questions.
The reply comes backā¦
And only one is answered.
Or itās a beautiful paragraph that somehow avoids the actual thing you needed.
And then youāre back in your inbox explaining it again.
I caught myself feeling frustrated and then thoughtā¦
This isnāt really about admin.
Itās about feeling heard.
When someone doesnāt respond to what youāve asked, even accidentally, it creates that tiny disconnect.
And connection is built (or chipped away) in those tiny moments.
Not in the big stuff.
In the reading properly.
In the answering clearly.
In slowing down long enough to think, āHave I actually addressed this?ā
In our world, time is tight. Everyoneās juggling.
But clarity is kindness.
And kindness builds rapport.
This week Iām practising one small thing:
Before I hit reply, I read it again and check Iāve answered every point.
Thatās it.
Small shift. Big difference.
Tell me⦠what email habit drives you nuts? š
02/03/2026
Rapport grows when we take a breath, truly hear the question, and reply with care, reflecting the language and tone used, whether face to face or in an email.

Happy first day of Autumn!
Here's your reminder š
A quiet little nudge to check in⦠and remind you to pop a 1st of the month reminder in your calendar.
This photo was taken the morning after a 12-hour surgery.
I sent it to Phil so he knew I was okay⦠and yes, maybe to show off the new b***s too š
But underneath the humour was deep gratitude.
Relief.
And the reality that things could have been very different.
My cancer was NOT picked up in a mammogram.
Only ductal cancer in my right breast showed up in an ultrasound.
Lobular cancer in my left breast was found by chance during an MRI.
Thatās why I share this.
Self-care isnāt just bubble baths and boundary setting.
Itās being brave enough to pay attention.
To feel what feels different.
To follow up.
To advocate for yourself.
And this isnāt just for the ladies.
Fellas⦠you need to be proactive with your health too.
This month, check in.
If something feels off, check it out with your GP.
Early action can change everything.
First of the month.
Full self-care checkin
