"This is just how we roll. 🥢 Celebrating International Sushi Day today, the only way we know how: Telling the story - The delicate brush of soy sauce, the palate-cleansing ginger, the sheen on the tuna sliver, and the absolute, mild panic from the piled up wasabi calls to us.

Let’s talk about composition.
Why does this image feel so satisfying to look at?
It’s all about patterns and leading lines. By arranging the delicate dumplings in a seamless diagonal line, we guide your eyes effortlessly across the rich, aromatic curry sauce. The pop of bright red chili and fresh green onion adds the perfect contrast, breaking up the warm tones and making the dish instantly memorable.
Creating these visual paths is what we love most at Foodie Shots.

In food and beverage photography, absolutely nothing is left to chance.
Every single element tells part of the story, right down to the hands holding the glass!
Notice how the crisp, coordinated ombre nails perfectly mirror the striking tones of the cocktail garnish? Being fiercely aware of your "props" and human details turns a simple drink photo into an elegant fashion-forward statement.
We had so much fun focusing on these meticulous little details during last year's shoot with Kim from .

Let's look at the science of lighting.
Notice the beautiful, directional light catching the edge of the wine glass and softly highlighting the fresh cucumbers and scallions?
Good food photography doesn't wash a plate in harsh, flat light. Instead, it uses shadows and precise angles to sculpt the food, giving the grains of fried rice dimension and making the meal feel incredibly real.
This series, shot in collaboration with Kim from last year, was entirely focused on using light to evoke a sensory and emotional reaction.

Today at my local Bx - Business Networking Reimagined I shared 7 selfie tips with guests and members.
Simple ways to improve your next selfie and ensure you are showing up in your business.
As always the room was full of energy and we welcomed new members. We also had Sherrill Stivano take the team leader reigns in great stride. Hard act to follow though as Morgan Jannusch steadied the group for the last while.
Love being able to watch, and hear peoples businesses succeed and also share their wins. Such a supportive group.
Great to have Peter Homan in the room and hear what he is up to.

Look closely.
See the slight glisten on the noodles, the bright crunch of the bean sprouts, and the perfectly placed wedge of lemon ready to be squeezed? This is the art of an intentional close-up.
We don’t just capture a plate; we position the elements to pull your eyes right into the heart of the dish, making you feel like the plate was set down just for you.
Pull up a chair and find your perfect plate at Wung Nam Thai Water Palace.
