These strong and durable Clothes Pegs don't rust, break or fall apart because the whole peg is made up of just one single piece of wire. Be assured that they will still be there when all the wooden and plastic ones are gone. Because the nickel content in these pegs is twice as high as in the normal stainless steel wire pegs they have much higher corrosion resistance, and because of the lower carbon and manganese content, they are more durable and less prone to rust.
๐ Strong, durable and kind to clothes
๐ Stain-free, rust-free
๐ Easy to store in the drawstring h**p bag
๐ It will not get hot to touch in the sun
๐ Strong 304-grade stainless steel
Able to be reused many times before recycling the metal wire (if they were ever damaged). Encourages line drying which is much better for the planet than using a clothes dryer. โ
AND we have 40% off pegs this month at Greenwood store!
This natural concentrate can be used on benches, tables, showers, windows, and floors as well as being grey water safe!
Most vegetables can be frozen, including kale, fennel, garlic, and celery.
GREAT Sorts freeze what they wonโt use immediately and use proper storage so the goods do not spoil.
A popular way to reduce plastic is waste-free lunches ๐ฅช๐๐๐๐ฑ
Teachers, students, parents, and colleagues alike choose to refuse single-use plastic every day by packing lunch items in reusable containers or opting for โnude foodโ for items like apples, peaches, bananas, etc.
We love this illustration by Eco with Em that has loads of examples of plastic-free lunch ideas.

Ingredients
-ยพ cup rolled oats (wheat-free oats if desired)
-ยฝ tsp bicarb soda
-1cup peanut butter
-2/3 cup brown sugar
-1tsp vanilla extract
-2 eggs
-2/3cup choc chips
-Salt flakes
Methods
1. Preheat oven to 160ยฐc, and line a baking tray
2. In a small bowl mix together oats & bicarb soda
3. In a larger bowl mix together until smooth the peanut butter, sugar, vanilla & eggs. When well mixed gently fold in choc chips.
4. Roll cookies into 2-inch dough balls and place 2 inches apart on the prepped baking liner. BARELY flatten the top of the cookie. The dough should be pretty sticky so if you find this method annoying, simply use a cookie scoop.
5. Bake cookies for 9-12 minutes & remove when edges barely begin to turn a golden brown. The cookies may look a little underdone, but they will continue to cook once you remove them from the oven.
6. Cool for 5 minutes on the cookie sheet then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Sprinkle each cookie with flakey sea salt.
There are different options depending on what kind of composting works for you, whether that's buying a $200 fancy composter, building a DIY bin, burying it in your backyard, or finding a compost facility close to you, but once you get started you'll realize there was nothing to stress over.
If you're still hesitant or unsure about what works for you, one of our team members is more than happy to talk to you about it ๐

๐ Introducing Mette is Baking ๐โ
We thought you might like to get to know some of our amazing local suppliers, so we had a chat with Mette who creates our scrumptious gluten-free Nordic Crackersโฆ
Iโm Danish and I have lived in 6 countries. I am an Engineer and worked in the oil and gas industry for 25 years. Iโm married to David, have 2 bonus kids and 2 granddaughters. I started Mette is Baking in 2015 and we bake Australiaโs best crackers in my home-based commercial bakery (also know as the cracker bakery). Mette is Bakingโs business model reduces waste and we only bake to order. At the end of a baking week, we have nothing left on the shelves to be disposed of. No crackers are wasted that way.
๐ฑ We have solar panels to power the bakery to reduce energy consumption from fossil fuel
๐ฑ All the lights in the bakery are using energy-efficient LED light globes
๐ฑ Water heating is turned on only for the hours required and we minimize water use by filling the dishwasher and washing machine fully before use
๐ฑ Bulk orders of Nordic Crackers are packed in re-sealable containers and we operate a container return system. When Wasteless Pantry gets a delivery we get the empty containers back to the bakery for cleaning and to be used again for the next order we pack. Some of these containers have been in rotation for 4-5 years now
๐ฑ We use Driving planning software to optimize the delivery route. By spending less time on the road we keep our drivers safer, reduce fuel consumption, vehicle wear and tear, which reduces pollution and carbon emissions. Mette is Bakingโs delivery vehicle is fuel-efficient and has all the latest safety technology to provide maximum protection for our delivery drivers.
I work with Wasteless Pantry because their customers requested that our Nordic Crackers be available in their store. Customer demand is a strong motivator.
One waste-free tip you have?
Separate out your waste. We separate print cartridges for recycling. Bottle tops and cardboard tubes are donated for craft projects. Used hairnets are donated to the โRare Fruit Clubโ to protect ripening fruit from fruit flies.

Are you collecting your HOUSEHOLD BATTERIES for recycling via WP? ๐
Household batteries are dry cell batteries used in many gadgets around the home, such as radios, cameras, and children's toys. They include AA, AAA, C, D, button batteries, 9V and 6V batteries. It is estimated that WA throws away over 18 million household batteries to landfill every year!
When batteries are sent to landfill, their casings disintegrate and metals and chemicals used within the battery can leach into the surrounding environment.
Once collected what happens?
The recycling process is able to separate the steel, copper, and aluminum as well as create a mixed metal compound. Rechargeable batteries (also known as secondary batteries) can also go into the household battery recycling bins. These will be separated from the alkaline (also known as single-use) batteries and sent either to France or Singapore for recycling. Australia does not currently have a facility for recycling rechargeable batteries. The different components are then able to be reclaimed for use in new products. โป๏ธ

You can recycle your INK CARTRIDGES through WP!
Printer cartridges cannot be recycled in your curbside recycling bin. Cartridges are made up of a complex mix of materials that can be turned into new products, including plastics, metal, inks, and toners. These can be used to create outdoor flooring, fencing, road surfaces, garden beds, and pens. When they are disposed of in landfill, these resources are lost.
Brand name Inkjet cartridges, toner cartridges, and toner bottles are accepted for recycling. This includes cartridges used in printers, photocopiers, and fax machines.
Brother, Canon, Cartridge World, Epson, HP, and Kyocera, pay for the collection and recycling of their cartridges. They are taking responsibility for the cartridges they produce. Other brands do not pay for these services and so can not be collected for recycling through this program.
