It’s an exciting time here at Shailer Racing as we welcome our January yearlings back into the barn for their second campaigns, and these five have certainly continued to make a great impression!

Each has their own story, pedigree, and qualities that saw us bring them home earlier this year that they continue to display on the track, and we’re looking forward to seeing them continue their development as they progress towards the next stage!

With their education building and trials on the horizon, these are the exciting stages of the journey where ownership really comes to life.

One of the unique advantages of our Gold Coast base is our proximity to the beach - just five minutes from the barn.

Incorporating beach work into our training program allows us to build strength through natural resistance in the water, support recovery, and keep our horses mentally engaged through variety in their routine.

Winchman gets the job done at the Gold Coast, securing a well-deserved victory in Race 7 under Danny Peisley!

Second-up from a spell, he showed great improvement from his encouraging first-up run, travelling strongly before letting down with a powerful finish to get over the top of his rivals.

There’s nothing better than seeing them salute on their home deck 🏇✨
