Another great day for us when Mark and I and ‘Dormy’ and ‘Stormy’ got to provide some of our ‘Kombi Karma' for a wonderful couple, Carissa & Leigh. Now these guys have been together for a while and have some gorgeous ‘kidlets’ however they wanted to share their love for each other with their families and friends and we were so lucky to be there to witness such a special moment for them all.

‘Stormy’ and Mark picked up Leigh and his boys and they had a relaxing and fun Kombi Kruise before arriving at the awesome Batesford Hotel while ‘Dormy’ and I collected the beautiful and very excited Carissa and her stunning, lovely ladies.

What followed was a fabulous ceremony that certainly highlighted the obvious love and affection that Carissa & Leigh have for each other and for their little ones and I loved that they incorporated their daughters into the day and it will be a wonderful memory for them all.

After congratulatory hugs and kisses and photos with family and friends we loaded up into ‘Dormy’ and ‘Stormy’ for a ‘Kombi Convoy’ over to Dog Rocks for Bridal Party photographs which proved to be a lot of fun. However all too soon it was time to take this lovely group of folks back to the Batesford Hotel for their celebrations to really get underway.

Thank you so much Carissa & Leigh for letting us share in your wedding day and we wish you both much love, joy, health and happiness and of course continued great ‘Kombi Karma’ in your lives together.

We had another great time sharing in the wedding day of the lovely Sammy and her man Zac. What an awesome day it turned out to be surrounded by some of the nicest people who really loved having ‘Dormy’ and ‘Stormy’ involved in such a special moment.

We collected the beautiful Sammy, her Mum and Dad and her gorgeous ladies in both ‘Dormy’ and ‘Stormy’ and we of course had to do a cruise down the main street of Barwon Heads to show off the ladies and of course our own ‘Kombi Girls’ who always enjoy the attention.

We then arrived at one of the best local places, ‘At the Heads’, where Zac and his mates were patiently awaiting the big reveal. You really cannot get a better location for a coastal wedding with such a fantastic vista looking out over the River towards the ocean and Sammy and Zac were blessed with such good ‘Kombi Karma’ as the weather for their day was amazing.

Zac was visibly emotional upon seeing his soul mate for the first time on their wedding day and what followed was a very real demonstration, officiated by delightful Celebrant Natalie Drum, @nataliedrumcelebrant, of the obvious love and affection that Zac and Sammy have for each other and for their assembled family and friends, way cool.

After family photos we all loaded up in ‘Dormy’ and ‘Stormy’ and travelled for Bridal Party photographs in the local area under the direction of photographers Matt and Hails from @hails&shine and videographer Connor from @lovesoldier.

All too soon we had to drop this awesome fun group back ‘At the Heads’ for their partying to really get underway however ‘Dormy’ and I came back later that night to take the rather tired but very happy Sammy and Zac to their wedding night accommodation.

Another wonderful day and we sincerely wish Sammy and Zac much love, joy, health and happiness and of course continued great ‘Kombi Karma’ in their lives together.

A while ago I was able to share in the special day of the lovely Gemma and her very cool man Luke (Paul Newman movie reference 😀). I was originally contacted by Gemma’s lovely Mum, Katrina, as she knew that Gem had always loved kombis so I of course had to do her wedding (:

Our day began with ‘Dormy’ and I picking up Luke and his mates for a relaxing Kombi Kruise before taking them to one of our favourite locations the amazing ‘Merne at Lighthouse’ near Drysdale.

After leaving Luke we headed back to collect the beautiful Gemma, her gorgeous ladies and her Mum and Dad. It was indeed humbling and wonderful to witness Gemma’s face when she saw ‘Dormy’ for the first time and she realised that we were a part of her day. It was a way cool moment and we had a lot of fun, especially doing a ‘mainy’ beeping the horn before we made our big entrance at ‘Merne’.

It was a perfect day and Celebrant Di Schmidtke from the ‘Geelong Celebrant Collective’ as usual definitely captured the moment and the tangible love and affection that Gemma and Luke have for each other was certainly highlighted and shone through.

After sharing in the love post ceremony with their family and friends, we headed off for a few Bridal Party photos under the guidance of awesome photog Louise Jones, @louisajonesphotography, in and around Merne.

I must admit that as always, I was a little sad to say goodbye to such lovely folks as they went inside for their party to really begin with their family and friends. However, after now doing this for quite a few years, I have learnt to temper my melancholy with the realization that all too soon I will have the pleasure of meeting a new couple and getting to provide them with some ‘Kombi Karma’ and hopefully help make their own special day unique, distinctive and heaps of fun.

It has been quite a while since I have been on here; for a variety of reasons. However, I have been contacted by quite a number of folks who have requested that I begin posting again about the wonderful weddings that we get to share in. And so stay tuned and I hope that indeed there are some of you out there in 'Facebook Land' who do value and appreciate the "Kombi Karma' that we bring to our couples as much as we do providing it too them (:

Over the years I have shared in so many wonderful weddings and while I don't choose favourites I must admit however that I very much enjoyed the day that I got to spend with the awesome Megan & Marc and their wonderful families and friends back in October 2019.

Megan & Marc were the nicest couple and being 'do-overs' - is that a term? - they of course featured all of their children in their special day and it was indeed wonderful to feel all of the love and affection that surrounded these lovely people. In a word it was one of those 'Warm Fuzzy' days that certainly substantiates why I genuinely love what I do.

It’s been quite a while since I have posted here, for a number of reasons. However a lot of ‘folks’ have been quite insistent that I recommence showing our lovely couples on their special day. And so, watch this space as I will be showcasing some of our awesome weddings.
