Geelong Guinea Pig Rescue

Hi everyone!

Just a heads up, I have an issue with messages coming through at the moment and not being able to open/reply to them so my apologies if you haven’t received a reply. I’m working on getting this fixed asap.

I’m also dealing with an unwell pig so I’m a little pre occupied at the moment.

Business as usual soon hopefully!

Little old Darrill loving her new cuddle pouch on a mission with Dad today.

She’s approximately 7 years old and is the sweetest Guinea Pig and is one of my permanent girls here living in her little herd with her friends Kiki and Mary.

These little ones came from a lovely home and owner who couldn’t keep them anymore for personal reasons and I was more than glad to take them in!

Just look at that face!

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Lest we forget.

Two lovely little boys boarding with me for the next few weeks. Such fun having extra little ones and being able to spend some time with them.

Reach out if you need your piggies looked after while you take a well deserved break.

Been a bit happening behind the scenes with lots of boarders in and out having little breaks with us here.

Some exciting news here at Geelong Guinea Pig Rescue and Boarding.

As of now I am throwing everything into my passion for these sweet little creatures that I love so dearly.

I’ve made a decision and that is to begin studying to become a vet nurse in 2026 with a strong focus on exotic animal care.

I have a wealth of knowledge around Guinea Pigs but no formal qualifications at this stage so it’s time to change that!

An exciting new challenge begins for me and hopefully once qualified I’ll be able to begin providing even better care and assistance to the pigs of Geelong.
